    Looks very tacoma-ish.

Hopefully that translates well in person. I imagine it will look better in real pics and in person.

Since Toyota doesn't even match all the configurations the Big 3 offer, I really don't see them making something that no one else does in a halfton.

why the f can't Toyota ever get their wheel and tires proportionate to their trucks/cars? It's my biggest pet peeve about them. Once again the new gen looks like it's walking with the skirt up....

I like the change to the exterior but man, the wheels and tires got to go!

Well, it just needs one more trim piece. that's it... I just don't like the massive grill look that seems to be popular with people who aren't me. One piece to round out the bottom of the grill to split it up before the bumper and it would look similar to the taco which I really like. And paint the black plastic bit on the top of the tailgate. That's it. That's all I don't like.

And since I'm at the tdr offroad price point it'll be chrome instead of black anyway... lol.

I think the current Tacoma is better looking than the current Tundra, so the new styling direction doesn’t hurt my feelings at all.

Still need info on the engines and how we’re all going to be “blown away” by the top spec unit.

That bumper needs to be all red or they need to pull the sides of the grille in at the bottom so it doesn't look like the bottom is missing.

yeah for real! it's almost like they know their buyers are going to change the wheels/tires so why spend $$$ on getting it right. For a top heavy truck, you need a damn good base. This is where Ford has done it right with the Raptor and now RAM with the TRX. TRD Pro should have beefier wheels/tires

FWIW, I am pretty blown away that it looks like Toyota is actually finally deciding to offer a true Raptor-spec Tundra.

And powertrain wise they don't have to do very much to compete with the turbo 6 in the Ford.

I would argue the Pro has been to date more of a competitor to the Rebel/AT4/TrailBoss than the Raptor/TRX.

Does any other manufacturer do a better job of that?

I'm guessing the Pro is leveled but they kept 32" tires on it. At least GM offers 33s on some of their trucks.
