Currently has 265/75/16 AT tires on steelies.
I am in Cape Coral, FL and just bought a 2005 Tundra Max 4WD with the 4.7 and Automatic. Regular cab with a bench cloth seat that actually fits 3 adults since there is no center console.AC ,Vinyl floor mats, and sliding rear window.
It has Toyota chrome badges on the tailgate that say Tundra Max 4WD.
I have very rarely seen 8 foot bed Tundras before so I grabbed this one.
I can't seem to find ANY info on this model.
When doing searches for parts, this configuration doesn't even show up.
It was owned by an engineering/survey firm locally in SW Florida and it has a company fleet number in the 30's so was probably a special order and they must have had at least 30 trucks in their fleet... It has 265/75/16 all terrain tires on steelies, was that size was standard on this configuration? Will have to check with GPS to see if speedo is reading correct speed.

I think that was the previous owners nickname for the truck, or something like that and they added the badge

Tundra MAX is a dealer or regional package, it's like 'special edition'.

I can't even find the single cab 8 ft bed configuration when searching for parts. So maybe it came with big all terrain tires from the factory? Any info on the package? The badges and their placement sure seem like they were factory.

Go to Toyota's owners website and put in your VIN#, you will get all the information about your Tundra.

I just checked the website it came back as a 2005 Tundra DLX. Never seen info about that model either...... Maybe DLX is the generic default for a regional or dealer special edition package? Left truck at the tire shop for balancing will post some pics later...

No SR5 badges so I don't think it is an SR5, just Tundra MAX 4WD on tailgate. That is the only badging on the entire truck aside from the front grill. Bench seat is straight across no notch, has 3 headrests and a fold down center armrest.

Convert it to a diesel, and you can have a 1-of-1 tundra max-d.

ive seen the ‘kylie’ edition audi s5’s. And the ‘lesliey’ edition s550’s. Ive thought about a ‘f*** off’ edition titan for years… my tundra is too classy. Maybe more of an ‘excuse me’ edition.

I will take a pic of my truck once I get it back. I wonder how many of this package were sold and how widespread.

If the Motor Trend review I ran across was accurate, it’s whoever wanted to pay $411 for the Max truck package !

So is it sort of a sub-model like SR5 then? Max package #1? That implies there was more than one package. What is bright pop up? Tool box is long gone from mine if it had one. The badges are pretty cool.

It sounds like a work truck Pkg. I wonder what a Bright Pop-Up is? Possibly a reflective cone for roadside visibility?

Mine was definitely a work truck. In its new semi-retired life it will probably carry 50-100 loads of free mulch a year from the county for my yard and carry a mini bass boat in the bed.

I just watched a couple of vids for the boat. What a cool little boat, it looks like it's the first gen Tundra of small boats.
