35% on the windshield might be pushing it with 5% on the rest. I have 5% on the sides and rear and 50% on the windshield and it's pretty dark. What part of FL? Tampa area here.

You can't siphon gas out of most modern tanks. They have valves and elbows in them.

I envy you guys. Still can't find someone who wants to take my money here in Tucson for tint.

I envy y'all too. Here in 'Bama it's illegal to have any tint at all on the windshield. I did clear ceramic on the windshield to cut the heat, but I would like to cut the brightness some, too.

How many coats did you use and are the new LED lights bright enough to see from behind when using brakes/blinkers? Any daytime pics? Been thinking about changing back to stock and doing what you did or a wrap

Hoping to explore some trails soon and didn’t like how expose the bolt heads were on the skid plates. Took care of it by adding ramped washers to provide better protection for the bolts.

I found various types of ramped washers on three different sites - northridge4x4.com, metalcloak.com, and rockhard4x4.com. I went with - https://www.rockhard4x4.com/product_p/rh-6000-sw-496.htm. FYI, there are three different sizes. The pics show the large 2.5” washers.

Thank you sir. In addition to protecting the bolt heads from nature, it'll help protect them from farging bastages trying to clip my cats...

That is what I was thinking as well. Just asked Tyler in the Valhalla thread whether he sees any issue with the bolt head protectors on his plates and how many needed for a full plate set including the engine skid.

Glad I could help you spend your money.

They’ll certainly help keep someone from trying to cut the bolt head off. Now that I think about it, don’t think there is enough room to get vice grips on there either.

I like this... would you be able to share where you bought these washers?

They'll look useful under the rock sliders too...

Used the same products/process on my hitch receiver Sunday. Now in the process of doing the same to my tailpipe. I don't have the tools or skills to reattach if I cut it off so attempting to get it as good as possible while attached. Wire wheel work is going ok. About 50% there.

I put these shiny black letters on today... I was trying to get a black chrome effect and it either would come out too dark or too uneven...

These are nice tho... They'll do

    Post pics when done!

You shouldn’t have to cut off the tail pipe to paint it. Just one screw on a clamp between the tail pipe and muffler, and then you have to wiggle it out of one hanger. When you reinstall it you need a new gasket, or some RTV sealant, or I’ve read some don’t even replace the gasket (not sure if that is wise or not). The cutting I did was to shorten the tail pipe after the hanger, so you no longer see it unless you look under the truck.

    @3rdTundra @1794TX -

Follow Up - I checked to see if there’s enough room to get a set of vice grips on the bolt. I was able to get about an 1/8” bite using 9” vice grips. This is on a 3/8” hex bolt.

Love those ramped washers! They would need to be super motivated and have lots of time to undo those bolts with a pair of vice grips.
