    Morning all. Making decisions.

Anyone know if there were ANY changes in the rear 60/40 seat inside a double cab between 2014 and 2019?

Have to make a decision between getting the current seat detailed (2-300 bucks) or taking a chance on a pull-yard with a 2019 seat that hopefully isn't pilled up and smells like wet dog ass every time it rains. (POs dog)

Looks like I can rent the cleaner so I'll make some calls and see how much they want. My current seat looks pretty beat, very pilled up. Hence the question regarding buying a replacement seal. Oh and I don't have a dog, previous owner didn't clean up after themselves and the dealer did a great job masking the scent.

When I bought my 2014 I had the same issue. The PO had dogs back there and I could smell it often. I used our carpet cleaner (upright with a hand attachment) and cleaned them a couple times. I was amazed in what was sucked up, and how well the seats cleaned up. I never had dog smell again. I did put a dehumidified in the truck for a day too to extract every ounce of water. The only thing worse than dog smell is musty wet smell. It doesn't speak to any pilling you may have, but 20 minutes with a carpet cleaner will do wonders.

Seats should be the same. While you’re at it, do the rear seat fold down mod.

I can't take a picture of the previous owner taking his dog to the local stream, getting the dog nice and wet and then using it's ass and naughty bits to massage a scent into the upholstery. I can schedule a visit if you'd like, really get a whiff of the situation haha.
