    Nice!

both sides are supposed to be either 13we or 13wl.
13we is like 12.9 or whatever and 13wl is 13.6 or whatever.

i think the conversion is just calipers and rotors?

Really? I swore I thought s13we is what I took off?? Ok cool so from your understanding 13we and 13wl is what I need?

    Nyeght.

if you have little rotors you need 13we, if you have larger rotors you need 13wl.

You are correct. Original is s13we for your year. There is no 13we, he's shortening the name. 13wl is used from mid 2003 through 2006 and is slightly bigger so won't help your issue.

What wheels are you using? Some 16" steel wheels won't clear the calipers.

What exactly have you changed? Wheels? Calipers? Both?

Yup, some don't fit. The inside shoulder where the barrel meets the face hits. I tried some steel 16s a buddy had and they hit. My friend bought some 16 steelies from Summit for his sequoia (same brakes) and we couldn't even bolt them on, caliper hit.

Haven't tried taco wheels. Those might fit but not sure, first gen tacos used a smaller brake but that looks like 2nd gen taco, not sure what brakes they used.

My truck came with after market steel wheels. And they had a wheel spacers. Maybe a 1/4 inch thick.

Yup, spacers would allow them to fit. Without spacers or adapters the ones I tried hit the s13we caliper, I imagine there is a steel wheel that might fit but I'm 2 for 2.

The ones I wanted were like this but only a red pin stripe and 16". I was bummed that they didn't fit, they had tires I wanted and was only $150 for the set of 4.

Ive been eyeballing a set @ $450. Was hoping the streets vs. meats could all be 31” 16s.

Glad I saw this thread. I've been contemplating a set of American Racing AR767 because I really like the classic look of them, particularly on a Gen-1 Tundras and Gen-2 Tacomas.
They only make them in 15" and 16". The 16" have the correct lug pattern and hub size, but I guess they won't clear the calipers. :(

Sorry this is a year afterwards I'm a total virgin when it comes to forums and I really dig a couple forums and am able to learn lots of first gen Tundra knowledge. But I hope to not ruffle anybodys feathers or snarl any upper lips. I think those rims are cool and was wondering where in the hell I could find an amazing deal (like you guys) on 4 fresh skates for my regular cab first gen Tundra SR5 4x4 4.7. Like I said I love this forum , TS, and FGT but rarely have the time to even read some of them because of always working. So since I have a 3 day weekend I wouldn't mind maybe scoring a nice set of rims for myself for Father's Day. Btw Happy Daddy Day to all Dads stay cool take frequent brakes and enjoy your one day we actually get. Thanks to any suggestions or recommendations. PEACE

Tacoma and 4runner takeoffs are cheap and plentiful (at least around here). I just bought a set of FJ Cruiser rims for $150 and painted them to look like this.
