I just took care of same issues on my wifes car. Meguiars polish took care of the embedded stain in seconds. I had probably 8 areas on the front of her vehicle like yours. Her auto is white as well.

Ordered some Coach Builder .50 shims (1” lift) for the front. Now I am debating whether to save a few bucks or go to that more expensive place to do the install and alignment. The truck will be well cared for at the expensive place. I don’t have the time, tools, or energy to do it myself…

One thing I learned from driving hand-me-downs and beaters for most of my life (prvious and this one are only new ones I have owned) is, black tape, and a loud radio solves 99% of your car problems lol.

Harsh take, but this has been my and many others' experience as well. Their tread pattern is AWFUL for clearing mud, and something is going on with their rubber compound where they seem to get hard and brittle almost overnight at some point after 20-25k miles with downright scary loss of traction on wet pavement. There was a huge thread about this on T4R.org when I was active there a few years ago. I agree that their strengths seem to be geared toward conditions in the Southwest US.

It was aggressive I agree, but its the truth and the truth hurts. KO2's suck and people who like them don't know better or can't get over the look. Trying to save the future buyers. They suck on tacomas as well as t4r's, I've had them on both. Maybe they are good in the south east, I'm from the North East, and they are not good here. The snow and ice rating is a joke, and water isn't any better.

Well I live in the Southwestern US and I'm very happy with my KO2s. They're on a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited but they have performed extremely well on that vehicle and they're lasting a long time too. I was planning on buying a set for my Tundra after the OEM tires wear out but I personally think the KO2 is a great tire.

I've heard bad reviews on Nitto Ridge Grappler and Falken Wild Peak. Honestly any tire that someone says is good I can find a review that says they suck.

If all these tires suck, then what's a good tire for both on and off road. To be honest, I don't go off road hardly ever, I just like the look of the off-road tire.

I went with the Cooper AT3 XLT's. I've never bought Cooper's before and I am very pleased with these tires. I've got almost 15k on them and they are rated for 60k miles if I recall correctly. They are quiet, wear great, and have good traction in all situations I've encountered since they were installed.

I had the Nitto Ridge Grappler and they were absolutely horrid on my truck, they were 33x12.5OR20LT tires on Fuel rims. I went out and purchased the TRD rims and put 305/65 BFG KO2, I did this for a variety of reasons.

    1. I have always had very good experiences, maybe I am just lucky, but no issues out of 7 sets from an International Harvester, S10, GMC K1500, GMC K2500, 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Diesel, Land Cruiser, and now Tundra
    2. I wanted to match the tires to the Land Cruiser since that gave me an 2nd spare that I can use since they are the same bolt patterns and I have the same tires on each.

No doubt that people have issues and just because I had issues with the tire/rim set up does not mean it may not work on someone else's vehicle, just not mine. I have primarily lived in the south, GA, MS, NC but travel to South Dakota frequently and they did exceptional last summer in Wyoming and Montana.

Not sure if it has any impact but I have been using the E rated tires of late so not sure if that is a factor or not, but as I mentioned I have zero complaints regarding balancing tread life, tread hardening, etc.

As this forum allows we each do the things that make us happy and support fellow forum members with the hard work they put into the trucks with their money that they worked hard for to begin with.

I am grateful for all the tips, tricks, advice, opinions, product reviews--good and bad, that the members put out there.

    Thanks

    Sounds like you’ve had a rough time…
I just put on a set of KO2s on my truck and have no complaints. I’ve been running them for years without any issues and usually get to 50k miles.

Which tires do you prefer to use?

You out in cali? It seemed like somewhere like that from your other posts I've seen, you got a nice ride!

From peoples responses it might seem to be temperature related to some extent if people are happy with these ko2's.

I like the wildpeak at3w, I think they are slightly better than the ko2 and at least used to be significantly cheaper, I think their price has gone up though. My favorite has been toyo at2's out of those three. I currently have their at3 on order for this truck and I've read they improved almost everything over the at2.

My cousin rides coopers on all his stuff and has really liked them as well.

I like them… and apparently I don’t know better or can’t get over the look.

I’ve run Ridge Grapplers and Trail Grapplers on T4R and Tundras… did not like either of those and I would argue that they both have getter look than KO2.

To each their own… maybe I’m just lucky.

Yes, our in Cali… and thanks for the compliment!

I’ve driven them all over… actually spent several months (in 2017) driving all over the country.

I’ve never tried the Wildpeaks… had some friends that liked them too.

Cooper STT is tempting, but not sure I’m ready for that.

I've never tried the grapplers, I see decent reviews but not interested, I'm the same with the STT like you.

Have you taken the KO2 in slick or cold yet? I'm guessing cold is hard this time of the year no matter where you are. I've noticed on my tacoma and the wifes t4r unless you are super easy on a take off you will be spinning. It's embarrassing to me if I burn rubber leaving the dentist or something after a light rain.

you can pick between an add a fuse, or a physical switch. I went with the add a fuse and placed it in the INJ 10 amp location
