It's not too bad, I used some bigger zip ties and dropped the spare tire to route it more easily.

I hear ya man. I was only busting your chops especially since I haven't committed to getting 1, just kicking idea. I'd never make you drive that far unless I knew for sure I was going to buy it. I'm also aware I'd have to come bigger than a pair of bedslide minikix for u to make the trip lol.

I agree 100%. I use to think they were only for old men. Well I must be getting old because I'm actually not against the look anymore. I already got the bedslide so I understand the function of that. The exact benefits you mentioned like dogs, kids, bikes, sports, ect. That extra height is a game changer. Instead of trying to squeeze in 2 kids bikes barely fitting under my cover I'd be able to literally just throw in back. Instead of spending a half a day yesterday with a shop vac sucking up dog hair, he'd have his own spot back there. In a pinch it's also another sleeping option.

Dont get me wrong I love this setup and it's been working for me. However there are times due to height of bedslide and bed cover I'm fighting to get things back there. I've even had to use the rear of the cab over the bed because I didn't know in advance i was picking up something with height so didnt remove the cover before and didn't want to tie on top. I'm not 100% sold on a topper but it's growing on me, I definitely see the benefit and the looks are growing, perhaps it's even a bit of function over form, damn I really must be getting old Haha

I cheated on the bed lights and just tapped in to the Gulf States Toyota installed cargo bed lights instead of going to the battery.

Curious about what changed the fitment?

Also, do you have plans of welding on the stock tips? Or adding a bolt on ones?

A giant rock… lol. Was going through a wash and smacked a boulder, which push the tail pipe into the lower bedside and bumper. I’ve been meaning to do this for a while because I knew this would happen eventually.

I think it’s good where I made the cuts, pretty close to even with the leaf packs. I do want to hit the ends with some high heat paint to keep them from rusting, though.

I followed the wire harness from driver side to passenger side up to the front wheel and into the engine bay per instructions. There is about 40' of wire to work with so you'll end up cutting the extra.

You can tap into the cargo light but would need to PM someone from the related thread who's done it since it's not supported due to warranty concerns.

I didn’t notice any change in tone, though it seems like you can tell that the sound is coming from a different spot, which makes sense. But overall I don’t see any significant changes in the sound, good or bad.
