Yesterday I installed new Toytec Boss 2.5 Aluma coilovers on my stock 2018 Tundra 4x4. After installation I gained 4” of lift. My understanding is these coilovers are shipped set at 3”. I was hoping to adjust down to 2.75”. I adjusted the preload collar to reduce the lift and I am almost out of adjustment and I am still at just a hair under 3” of lift.

Is this a sign that something may have been installed incorrectly? Curious why I got 4 inches of lift when the coilover is described as a 2-3” lift. It drives ok, other than needing an alignment. I’d appreciate anyone’s thoughts and experience with this or similar lifts.

If I'm not mistaken, you need to allow the coils to settle. Give it a few weeks and the coils will settle out. Then measure again

    Alot of them
Mine were very close to 4" as well. You should have changed the UCA's for better alignment. The shop will tell you it's in the green but it won't be a correct alignment.

Thanks for the reply, did you adjust yours or did you leave them at 4”? Did you experience them settling after install?

As for UCAs, I do plan on changing out the stock ones for JBA or SPC.

yup can second getting upgraded UCA's, especially for this kit. Enjoy it, I love mine! Can definitely say everything settles quite nice, I have a heavy 1k pound camper on my truck and I had the tundra lean for a month or so then it just went away.

I left mine. I have 2 inches in the rear so I sit dead level. I didn't notice any settling with mine. If it did it was minimal. The SPC's are nice...thats what I have.
