    Hi everyone,

Looking for options for an led lightbar to go somewhere in the front but keep incognito when not in use.
Looking at 250.00-300.00 max for it.
This is all part of my plan for next year.

    Thank you all

SDHQ makes some brackets but the options depend on what grill you have.

I have the above in the Tacoma and Tundra. Good light output. Good price point, never had an issue after after 4 years of use. Combo bar for both

The CR brackets are good also #2 post as another option. Diode Dymanics has a 30'' bar with really good reviews and quality, but a bit over your price point.

I drilled some holes in the bumper behind the grill and mounted my bar. Sits just a tad low but I have a Baja Designs s8 bar back there so it still throws plenty of light down the road. You can't see it unless you look for it so I like that it's mostly hidden and since I just used the brackets that came in the box with the light it's probably the cheapest you'll get something in that spot for.

Diode Dynamics 30" light bar so far working well. Going from having the light bar on to off with only high beams on it's like putting sunglasses on while driving in the dark.

Quality is there, plus you can reconfigure the lenses in multiple tints or spread patterns to suit your needs. Only minor complaint is the switch that comes with the kit is a little fragile. But most are going to replace that with one that integrates into Toyota dash slots directly for $15. That and there is a little vibration going on with the light that you can see while driving, but that is easly solved by adding support under the light bar in the middle so it makes contact with the bumper. I imagine most that mount to the bumper are going to do this.. Minor stuff.

    Happy with it.

Also, before you make a purchase, chat with @memario1214. He's on the official vendors list here, and can get you products from quite a few vendors (including products not listed at hotshot's website). Good folks here.

    Thanks brotha

Also, @Spielightdude looks like there's a few options already that have been dropped in here for you. Any of them tickle your fancy in terms of light bar placement and the "aesthetics" of it? Once we know where you think you want the light bar we can work through options from there!

For those that have them mounted lower in the main grill area how is the the light throw? I'm looking if possible something that will put.out good light straight out as I do plan on doing hood bracket mounted ditch lights for side lighting as this progress.
My main thought is when I am in a call from my FD I vol. at sometimes we get paged out for down powerline and trees calls.
In the dark and in any sort of bad weather even with highness it can be damn near impossible to see things like that.

With 30" in lightbar with amber driving lenses in the lower opening the throw is better than the stock high beams.

That said, due to reflectivity of dust or vapor in the air, amber is probably better mounted low and white higher up on the vehicle.

Edit: I live out where it is pitch dark. Have the the DD Max fogs and the DD 30" inch lightbar again with driving lenses. And I have to say when I turn them off and just run the highbeams its as if I went to driving with sunglasses on. Very happy with the output for dark rural roads with lots of critters running around.

Don't know if your still active around here, but can you show me what you did to support the bar, and how it's holding up?
