So welcome back to another episode of Project Double Gnar. Since I got the truck the drivers window would go down ok, albeit while making a not so nice harsh clicking noise. And when going up it would sort of lose alignment and try to go at whatever angle it pleased. This was solved by just holding it in alignment until you were about to lose a finger and it would be ok the rest of the way (clicking sound on the way up too).

Today I was out running a quick errand and had the windows down enjoying the fall air....and in my foolish exuberance I forgot to grab the window when I rolled it up. It got one corner a couple inches past the end of the window frame and I was able to get it back down. Now it's making a slightly worse clicking noise and at first I could wiggle it up and down a bit, but now it won't move at all (and it's stuck about halfway). When I push up or down the window motor makes noise and the door flexes inward toward the interior of the truck a little. Figured I'd just need to adjust the track or something but I took the panel off and can't see anything at all the way it's installed.....so I humbly ask for the help of this wonderful group again to prevent Project Double Gnar from getting all wet tomorrow when it rains again.

*edit: the window motor seems to be awfully warm, never had a reason to touch it before so I've no point of reference but seems like if you left a finger on it you'd burn yourself....which is probably not right

*edit 2: seems this door panel has been off a time or two, the plastic is long gone and the studs that are supposed to hold the pull/handle are busted with something like wood screws holding it in place, which is what I thought the window may have been catching on but they're out and I'm still stuck

Took a couple of pics though I'm not sure they're helpful. The side of the window closest the front of the truck almost seems pinched, as the back side will go up/rotate to some extent but no amount of hitting the switch or trying to pull/push the front side of the window up is getting it to budge

Oh no. Use a plunger to hold the glass at the right height to replace screws?

Not a bad idea, but at this point is all bound up and not going anywhere. Already had an appointment to get the timing belt done, shocks, and a few odds (headlight won't work and plow doesn't work 100%) so I'll just add it to the list

For posterity, if you remove the speaker and lower the window, the window bolts will be easily accessible.

Appreciate that but the window is literally frozen in place, won't budge. Took it on a quick errand and didn't move at all.

Can you unbolt the motor and arm and the whole thing will drop?
