This makes me think that now, the "What's your latest purchase?" thread should be the "What arrived today, and how was your wait?" thread...

Sell some crap. There's always some precious crap you can sell. If you wouldn't want to move it, you don't need it.

The funny part is I called it. Left 11/11 from Indiana and made it to Southern California by 11/14, but it will be 4 days of being in California somehow before it gets here. It will have been 2 hours or less away for 4 days.
    :rofl:how the hell?

I've been on this path for about 5 years. I just have to work through it.
I also have to complete some projects so I can actually sell off the unused (and soon-to-be unused) bits.

Waking up early to surprise HR in the afternoon with a pay issue that they have been dragging out into a whole ordeal. The math is not hard, but getting 17 illiterate retards to agree on the same number is...

Tired of sending one email per day being on thirds. Tired of using my supervisor as a middle man.

Used Taco market really exploded this past year. Funny, truck like this could be had for $2-3k easy in 2018. Now I gotta be a millionaire.

That one came up for my saved searches a few days ago. I couldn’t tell if it was an intentional mistake or not. But since there was no reason to continue looking at the truck I quickly forgot about it.

So I ordered a cabinet and casters (for the cabinet) from Home Depot last week. I opted to have them shipped to the store. (free vs sending to my house for $60)
They both arrived at the local HD on Monday.
I got notification last night that my cabinet is ready for pickup.
Still no word on when my casters will be ready.

Forkin ell, m8. How hard is it to move my casters from the back of the store to the front?

I'm pretty sure they accidentally pasted the price in, adding two zeroes, and it's supposed to be 12,777.00

That seems to be the going rate on superclean trucks I'm finding, with the low-end being 6k and high-end being 14k, all depending on the options.

Either way, it's crazysauce, the pricing. I'm passively hunting a late 1st-gen, sub-175k, 2WD 4cyl, with PL/PW, clean body and chassis for under $5k. It's something I could've bought all day long about 5 years ago for 3-4k. Pretty wild seeing the pricing today!

I've had really good experiences with sending home depot stuff to a store for pickup. They'll give a date a week out and they'll message me within 2 days that its ready. When I order bigger stuff from them I prefer to do it that way.

Yeah, the original date they gave me is tomorrow. (8 days from order)
I was excited when both pieces showed up Monday. (4 days early)
That excitement has subsided while my stuff has languished in the HD back room.

Hopefully they can track it down. They use some special code that dictates where products are placed within the store. If the product didn't get registered with that code on delivery its a needle in a haystack.

I learned about that when I went to tow my beetle and forgot my magnetic towing lights. Home depot had them in stock but I spent 30 minutes with an employee looking for them to no avail. I wish I didn't forget her name now, I meant to put in an acknowledgement for her. 3 dudes who worked there were useless and she took over with real effort.

Not Darkness, but friend of mine was a Beetle junkie. Pretty sure flat windshield puts this pre-1973. No front end makes it harder for me to date. I'd ballpark late 50s to late 60s. Don't suppose you got a pic of the rear window so we know if it's oval or square, split or whole?

Nope, didn't think about the rear window. You can see the IG account the guy has, but it's set to private.

I think I ordered on the 8th, I'm just impatient.

Another one I had ordered during the Summer is going to arrive here around the 3rd of December. Im really looking forward to that one. When my wife asks "how many guitars do you need?" I tell her "how many purses do you need?" Once the 2nd one comes in thats 6 guitars.
