    Hello everyone,
I’ve thought long and hard about writing up my experience with Ironman 4x4 and after reading the rock slider thread and what a fellow member here is currently going thru, decided that others needed to know. Apologies for the lengthy post ahead of time.

I bought a new to me Tundra this past July and joined this site. One of the first mods I wanted to do after seeing everyone’s trucks was a new bumper to get rid of the chrome and add some clearance. I looked at CBI and C4 but honestly the wait times were a turn off. A comment by a fellow board member about how they are also so beefy that in an accident all of that energy is transferred to the frame led me to look at the ARB Summit bumper. That is when I came across Ironman 4x4 and their new Raid Bumper. It promised it was airbag and crumple zone compatible. A question to customer service stated it was made in Australia and their website stated the bumper would ship now and the lights would come sometime late October. So taking advantage of their Labor Day sale, I purchased it September 7th.

The next week I was on their site and was surprised to see the price had dropped over $400. Since my order hadn’t shipped yet I reached out via email and their customer service chat to see if they would refund me the difference. I figured if they refused I’d just cancel my original order and place a new one. Via the chat they said after a quick check with their manager that yes they would refund me the difference and that it would take 10-15 business days for the refund to appear back on my card. A few days later they responded to my email saying they were willing to refund the difference also but since I had addressed the problem thru their chat I never responded to.

Their website allows you to email a full transcript of the chat to yourself which I did after talking to them each time I did. I also took a screenshot of the bumper and the new lower price as well.

When the refund still hadn’t been credited to my account in mid-October I again contacted customer service via the chat. They didn’t have any idea what I was talking about and said they would pass it to a manager. The next day a manager contacted me via email saying the best the could do was give me a credit of the price difference of the bumper now, which was $50. I responded with the screenshots of the bumper at the lower price and the chat transcripts showing that the $400+ price adjustment had been approved. The manager replied back that the price I showed was a glitch, that their customer service team was confused and that if I had placed an order with that price they would have canceled it. I requested my order be canceled at this point.

The next day my order still showed as pending. I again emailed the manager and again requested my order be canceled. I also threatened that should the order ship at this point I would initiate a charge back with my credit card company and refuse shipment. The following day my order was finally canceled.

I will never do business with this company and urge others to think strongly before they do.

No apologies, I really only said it so that you and others who may not know about were aware and could reference it in the future when making a purchase (if you wanted).

Thats super shitty. Thanks for sharing. Maybe ironman will see the ripple effect from bad customer reviews and the crap load of money they'll be losing. We'll see if they attempt to do damage control or make things right before it gets worse. I plan to leave reviews on the other truck and offroad and overland forums I'm on as well.
