Please bear with me as this issue might take a little to explain. I was finally able to get into my 2019 using Techstream with Win10 and the 2.0 adapter cable driver.

Under the customize settings in Techstream I was able to turn off the seat belt reminders, turn off the FOB panic button as well as change all the doors to unlock all with one press. I also want to turn off the passive alarm and warn by horn but when I go into security under customize settings it is empty?

I watched a video where when they click on security a message popped up saying "security is not enabled" and to enable it in the option setup. After they enabled it then the options popped up under security. I do not have an option setup choice in the customize settings menu.

I have the flashing truck/lock light near the tach on the dash so I assume that is the factory security alarm? I do not want the alarm to go off if it locked and a door is opened like it does now.

Here is the video I found where it shows enabling the security and then the option being under the security option after

On another forum one person said that they have the same issue except with their Sequoia, but not with their Tacoma so he doesn't think it is the cable or the connection.

So another piece of the puzzle here. Another person told me that Toyota removed the security options on the 2018+ models. I wonder if a dealer can turn this off for me or if they will be willing to? I wonder if I can turn it off by removing the security relay?

Do you know for sure that you have the factory secuity? Do you have wires going to your hood latch? On my 2020 SR5 SX I enabled the security through techstream and had issues because the truck doesn't have the security module installed.

The flashing light on your dash is just the transponder sensor for the chip in your key, not a security system indicator. You probably don’t have the factory security system.

Maybe I dont have the security system, I am pretty sure I have wires going to the hood latch though.

When I sit in the truck and lock the doors the light on the dash flashes for a 30 seconds. If I then open the door the horn starts honking and the marker lights flashing. Is there a way to turn that off?

My reason is that if I am far away from the truck and someone breaks in and opens the door I wont hear it anyway and I do not keep anything of value in the truck. It will not prevent or stop anything.

If your popping the hood and the horn goes off then you have the wires to the hood latch. Can you find the security module in techstream where it show all the modules and their status?

I am not sure in Techstream where to find modules status.

When you open techstream do a health check. After the health check all the modules are displayed and it shows their status. Go through the list and see if you can see the security module and it's status.

Here a quick video. At 1.11 you can see the list on modules displayed and it's status. The vehicle scanned is an old Rav so it only shows 1 module displayed. Your Tundra will have quite a few more. I don't recall but I think up to 19 modules will be displayed.

Several of my modules were yellow and listed as status unknown. I will have to check them again tomorrow.

Select the yellowed out module and see if you can see info on the data stream when you look at it tomorrow.

I was able to connect today and take a look. All the modules were white after the health check test but still nothing under security in the custom options. I also did a cable check and it showed pins 7 and 15 as red and NG.

What are you using to connect to the truck? Some of the interfaces will not show all the data.

I am using a VCI J2534 Cable Fit for Toyota TIS Techstream V16.00.017, Firmware V1.4.8. I purchased from Amazon. I have tried all the different cable drivers from 1.4.2 - 2.0.1. When I was using the 1.4.2 driver I couldn't see ant settings in the customize options. 71cYSljFJcS._AC_SL1500_.jpg I have an appointment at the dealer this Friday to update the trailer brake controller and I am going to ask them to look at this issue too.

The Glass Break Sensor would have been installed as part of the factory alarm. Do you have one, it will be down by the aux port. That is the only visible sign that you have a factory alarm. Here is the dealer install guide, so you can check.

    http://toyotaparts.sparkstoyota.com/install/08586-0C890inst.pdf

and in TS, the security module is enabled on my 19, but I have the factory alarm.

I do not see a glass break sensor. When I lock the doors from inside and then open the doors the horn starts honking and the lights flashing. Is that part of the immobilizer and not a factory security? I have a security relay in the fuse box and I think the wires on the hood latch.

    I cant get no satisfaction

The dealer today said that they cannot disable the "warn by horn" or "passive security" because I have an aftermarket horn (WT?, I wired an aftermarket horn to a relay triggered by the factory horn)

The service manager dude said that they could set the time till alarm goes off to 90 seconds. I dont think I have the passive alarm though because it is my understanding that the passive auto alarms if the door is shut regardless if it is locked or not and mine doesn't do that.

I just don't want an alarm to go off when a locked door is open. This makes no sense to me anyway as someone would need to break a window or jimmy the lock to get in and since the alarm isn't paging it wont do me any good. I do not leave anything valuable in the truck anyway.

I ordered the cable you suggested Ruggybuggy and maybe I can turn on the warn by horn myself. I am also considering a relay type fude setup to the horn fuse so that the horn would only work when the ignition is on and thus not blast away if the alarm goes off.
