Hello all , picking up my 275-60-20s tomorrow. I do not tow.

I’ve done some searching here, but would like to ask the group. What’s a good PSI to set to avoid wear but have comfort/good mpg?

PS. I will be doing a chalk test over the holidays but just want a decent starting point.

    Thank you

35 at all 4 corners has worked for me. Like you I don’t tow.

interested in your chalk test results. I never took the time to try that.

I run 35 on all four. After 60K miles I had minor scrub on the outside of the fronts. I rotated them for the first time. Rears were pristine. I'm expecting >100K miles before I need to replace them. I have the LT, but the P sizes come with a 90K mile warranty.

A lot has to do with alignment also. Toyota's spec is too wide. 0 +/-0.1 for camber and .12 toe in on each side, less than .24 total seems to be the sweet spot. Caster will be what it is.

When I had a camper I ran 65 while towing.

Only if you have the same tire specifications that came from the factory.
If you change size or load rating it is best to contact the tire manufacturer and they will tell you exactly what to run.

Michelin is even kind enough to have a direct link to get that question answered

Is 275/60R20 not a stock size for these trucks?

My bad. As Chris notes, 275/65R18 is the stock size for 18" wheels so I'm surprised the 20s are a little wider.

This is very helpful in getting correct air pressure when moving to a larger tire or a tire with a different load rating

You will absolutely feel a much smoother ride, those are the tires I got now after having the bfg AT 285/55/20s. Personally, 40 psi all around works better for me, I notice she "feels" a little heavier at 35s. (that's just me tho and never done the chalk test).
