    True.
    True.
Ha. I was born in Sault Ste Marie on a cold December morning, Dad was stationed at Kincheloe AFB. Been blissfully ignorant of some creature comforts since then. Heck, I wear shorts ~330 days a year here in Colorado.

You are better off just having a better quality system installed for the same price.

You’re right. I’ve done that on my 17. But, believe it or not I am going to try and stay as stock as I can if I purchase the new Gen.

That's what we all say... I'm going to try and stay stock... then an hour after we get it home we are on the forum looking for things we can upgrade.

On the last generation, the only thing JBL did was make it more difficult to upgrade to a decent system. JBL, does make some decent stuff, I guess Toyota just wanted the name recognition to make it sound like it was a better system.

Right after it shuts off and makes you start it again.....its a dumb feature that literally every other vehicle manufacturer does better and has been doing longer.

If you can figure out where and how to attach them I agree...to my knowledge, no one has been able to figure that one out yet.

And that truck will die once it is put into gear without the FOB being detected....in every other vehicle with remote start...except Toyotas.

If you were to ever want to... Good luck. Replacing that built in head unit does not look very feasible.

I'm speaking directly to the TFL video. The fuel mileage was worse than the RAM for one. The score they gave it for the other - it got a worse score than the RAM. Even they said the Tundra was 'meh'.

it also handily out pulled the ram with ease, they dinged it for non towing subjectivity

he said he had the ram at 90% and it was reving like crazy , the tundra he said had 40-50 % more left and it wasn’t even pushing it

not really a surprise at elevations they were towing

nobody gives a shit between 4 mpg and 5 when one truck isn’t even sweating and has tons of reserve power

Your assuming the computer was right on with gas mileage. And the points taking off for that test had nothing to do with the ability of the truck itself but there personal opinions about the truck. They both agreed it towed much better.

It also seems like the TFL guys didn’t have the truck in TOW+ mode, only the first Tow-haul mode for lighter stuff.

Does an aftermarket subwoofer void the warranty at all? The dealer was saying no since all are pre-wired for the JBL subwoofer, but I don't know if that is true or not.

No I don’t, low twenty’s or sometimes teens is as cold as it gets in the winter here and that’s not very often, weather it’s cold or not, I still drive the same way, holding the bottom of the wheel with my thumb or I have my wrist resting at the top of the wheel, either way only a small part of my skin is touching the cold wheel and I never notice it. I guess if you drive with your hands squeezing tight at 10 and 2, then you may need a heated wheel.

You’d be in a ditch on these Icy snow filled roads here like that, need a firm grip as it tosses you around and pulls you in the ruts and slick spots

    damn I hate winter

That rear seat floor and storage situation is annoying....Toyota has one of the most useful truck back seat storage configurations of any truck in the Tacoma...and then they do this...on their high end truck...baffling

Based on the 2020 results, there's at least 0.6 s of error in their measurements, because the TRD Pro and SR5 are mechanically identical.

Don’t know, good question. I doubt it tho. Those wheels and tires alone are probably 3k +
