Hi...Just back from an 800 mile trip in my new (to Me) 2010 Tundra with 115000 miles(now).
While using the A/C there is a high pitched whine from the vent when set to blow out the dash vents. It disappears when changing the air flow to the other settings.....floor, Defr., blend.
I am assuming it is from the blending door system. Anyone have a fix for this??

The good news is that the new tires, Struts and front brakes made the trip very enjoyable. It is a great riding truck (my first pick up). and I got the great MPG of 15.5. Went from CA to AZ and filled up in AZ when I arrived and just before the CA border on the way back. Gas is $1.00 Gallon less in AZ.

    Thanks

Make sure the dash vents are all the way open or check that one is not 99% closed. When it happened to me, my wife had closed the far right passenger one.

Hello OP, I was wondering if you found a solution for this? I know the post is a little dated but would greatly appreciate any insight

When I hit rear for the hvac my 2020 is making the noise you refer to on the rear passenger side vent. I am hoping it’s just debris stuck in the fan. I would need to figure out how to open it to inspect. Thanks for any info

Funny it makes this noise. Not sure why this wasn't on the TT service bulletin or was it?
