I thought I was set on 20’s with 275/60r20, but now that more of y’all are posting your setup I’m tossed. I know it’s preference, but let’s here it.

I know pictures are posted throughout, but can I get a picture of your setup’s?

More of a street Queen than anything. I know what you’re getting at, but I’m just talking looks.

On my older vehicles that was my philosophy. Then the newer vehicles looked better with 20’s. This body yota looks really good with 17’s

I am more of a 35's on 17" kinda guy but if you are not getting too wild offroad then I see no reason not to run 20's.

20's will also probably behave better on road and may perform better towing. At one point, the F150's maximum tow rating required the truck have 20" wheels, otherwise you got a slightly lower rating. So its a balance, how are you realistically going to use the truck?

I did run 275/60R20's on my F150 for a while and, even then, they looked a little doofy. The truck was a supercrew 6.5' bed and the 33's didnt fill it out all that well. Now I am on 315/70R17's on stock suspension and it looks pretty good. I got the wheels and tires as a package deal from a Raptor, but if I were to go out and replace the tires right now I would probably pick a 285 or 295. Something narrower.

I’ve found 295/70r17s are a nice compromise since they’re about a 34”x12”. I like the 17s for the beefy look, softer ride, and better off road performance. Wheel/tire combos are usually lighter weight on 17s as well. Have to just watch the sticky wheel weight placement on 17s. I like 20s too though, sometimes I wish I had a set of each to change up the look.

I appreciate the input and I didn’t think about the towing capacity possibly being effected. To be honest, I want a good happy medium. When I say this, it’ll probably fire up some folks, but I want the largest, lightest setup so I can as many MPG but have the aesthetics with an aggressive look.
That’s why my original plan was to do a 20x9 +10 with the Cooper Rugged Trek in a 275/60r20. It has deep tread, it’s a regular load range so it weights the same as stock and it’s about 33.5” tall.

If money was no object I’d have like four different setups haha and this thread wouldn’t even be a question. Heck I’ll have to sell my current TRD wheels and tires before I can get the new setup.

    Agree with this... i like my 285 / 75 / 17.
They look like 35", but weigh and drive like a 33.

overall i went up only 9lbs on each corner to go from 32" P-rated tires on stock 18" wheels to a 34" E-load All-Terrain on icon 17"

(i get 11-13 mpg so if that is a concern don't do it, lol)

Sorry, 2.5 gen (2018 crew max)
2.4” lift and 34’s took me from 14/18 down to 11/15

I am running Venomrex VR602's with a BFG KO2 LT 315/70R17 C-range Raptor tires and they are 93 lbs. My 275/60R20 Duratracs on stock 20's were 91.5 lbs. No joke. I weighed all 4 tires and they were within 1.5lbs of each other.

    So I went from a from basically a 33x11" to a 34.6x12.5" and gained 1.5 lbs.

My Ecoboost's MPG's during the summer went from low 18's to low 17's(speedo is corrected to near perfection). I don't do a lot of highway miles though, which is where the 315/70's probably hurt the most.

I saw that the 315/70R17 Wrangler Territory M/T's that come on the Ford Bronco sasquatch package are super light. I think they are like 52 lbs or something.

    https://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Goodyear&tireModel=Wrangler+Territory+MT&sidewall=Blackwall Alternate Design&partnum=17SR7WTMT&tab=Sizes

My KO2's are listed at 62 lbs.

Get a super light wheel and I bet you could be in the 75-85 lb range.
