I haven’t been here for long, but I feel compelled to share my love for this place.

I was in a very dark place around the time I joined this forum. My family was (still is) dealing with something generationally traumatic, I was hit in a high speed head-on collision, and I was subject to undo abuse from a toxic work environment.

All of that occurred in the span of about 6 weeks. We are still dealing with the effects of our trauma, and 13 days ago I got rear ended in my nearly-new tundra.

That said, I have found another job at a similar institution that highly valued me. I start next week and will exit my current noxious environment. I smile every time I start up my tundra. I see light at the end of what seemed like an infinite tunnel.

I’ve always been a truck guy and wanted a truck, but even as a noob, y’all made me feel welcome. I’ve asked my share of dumb questions, not understood basic norms, and made an ass of myself. But at no point in time did I feel unwelcome or unsupported. @RainMan_PNW responds to my ridiculous questions. @TRDFerguson doesn’t care that I copy his entire build. @Squatting Pigeon and @Taco-Spike appreciate my shitty jokes.

I’ve been on my fair share of forums, but this is by far the best run, most accepting, and fun outlets I’ve been a part of. @T-Rex266 @ColoradoTJ and @csuviper yall run a tight, good-time vessel.

I learn and laugh on a daily basis. I think Jimmy V said that’s good or some shit.

Anyways, again thank you, and take your mental and physical well-being seriously.

I love all you dirty bastards.

Welcome aboard again man. Glad to hear your getting into a better environment.
I have been through some things in the past year or so (fortunately nothing too major), and there has been some amazing people within this forum. I talk to more people here than within most of my personal life. Even have had people offer to house me and my family while evacuated from multiple hurricanes. I agree as well on the way people are here vs other forums. A whole lot different. Ever need anything, reach out man. We all go through tough times and should all help each other back up when possible.
Good luck on your new endeavors coming up!:fistbump:

But in all seriousness, @THORYOTA it's been great to have you aboard the forum, actively helping others and adding to the BS and friendly banter. This place is great, and has been an escape for me through some down times over the last couple years, as well.

That was an awesome post - and I agree, it's easily the best forum I've ever been a part of.

Does your new job understand the hefty pay you require to satiate your truck toy needs?

After COVID and the state of the country/society right now, it's a wonder we're all still sane. I come back here myself to enjoy fellow Tundra enthusiasts as it seems nearly everyone I used to hang with who had a Tundra has moved on from it :(

Glad to hear someone is benefitting from this place! I'm just going broke and think I lost my wits in a discarded Bilstein box or suffered brain damage from Fluid Film fumes. No seriously OP, glad life is showing you some mercy, definately sounds like a rough patch! Hang on and keep your powder dry, we all got your back!
