can a big dog get in a tundra cab without a ramp?

 

I would say it depends on the dog, but most would have a hard time. No way our 100lb Great Pyrenees could.

My fatass dog gets in and out of there just fine. 125 pounds, and all I have are factory running boards, which she actually uses.

 

I have 2 labs that simply run and jump into the cab.

 

Yeah, Great Pyrenees are not athletic...

 

Depends on the height of the truck. My labs are scared to jump in my truck

 

I used a set of dog steps until I installed my ActionTrac steps and now he gets in pretty easy. I'm sitting at 7.5" lift

 

My Fatass dog is fatter than yours. At 12 yrs old she needs steps

 

my 30 pound mini-goldendoodle manages to get into my modestly lifted tundy without issue. you should be A-Ok

 

Getting out can be hard on the dogs joints too. Beware!

 

My 110 lbs Great pyre used to get in no problem before her elbow injury. Now I have steps she uses.

 

If our Aussies can jump onto the seat into a lifted Tacoma, I am sure they can jump into a Tundra

 

Ours does. She's about 60 pounds and two years old. We one of these in the back seat area, so she has to jump to the height of the seat.

My Bullmastiff does it. Sometimes he’s a drama queen and wants a lift but he does it fine especially when a bribe is in back seat for him.

 

I lift up the short half of the rear seat so mutley just has to jump to the floor them step up to the seat.

 

With ease. I have the worlds laziest 85lb lab and she hops up inside with zero issues.

 

My 3yo and 12yo labs get in and out just fine (usually). Tonight when I got home with them, I parked too close to the wall and, while the door opened all the way, my 12yo thought it was too cramped to jump down and I had to help her.

 

My pit cross has no problem getting in and out. He is at 85 lbs, not as active as he used to be but still jumps right on in.

 

Our Pyrenees / Aussie Shepherd mix wasn't sure she could make it the first time, but she figured it out fine when I tossed a Milkbone up there.

my two labs are old and there days of jumping are over now I have to pick em up into the cab.

 

My older female German Shepherd weighs only about 60lbs and uses the running boards.

My 3 year old male Rottweiler weighs probably around 110-120lbs and he just jumps in. Big athletic dog, only Rottweiler I’ve ever seen who chases frisbees, we can still see his waist… most Rottweilers are barrel shaped. Good thing he’s a total lover dog, or he could be one dangerous sumbitch. Instead he is a total ham, and attention whore.

 

I also have a Rottweiler. 120lbs big athletic dog. He’s my service dog so I had to adapt the truck to fit us. I took out the 60 split and platformed it so he actually has more room to jump in and out.

 

My OCD can't handle all the dog hair in all these trucks! My dog rides in the back but I vacuum it immediately afterwards...

 

My pit used to jump in no problem, but take her sweet ass time getting out. We use this ramp now, mostly because pits are known for hip and joint issues later. The ramp folds in half and has skateboard tape on the tread. I drop it right on my slider and she took to it immediately.

Ha! I know what you mean. I had to make peace with that long ago. I have enough dog hair on the floorboard carpet to make another dog lol.
