What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

Both. Not only too bright but, due to the angle, points right at whoever is sitting adjacent to it (driver/passenger).

Use them all the time while driving at night, say to read something or when someone drops something. You must not have kids. Those animals are always needing a light for one thing or another on a road trip. That's where the red light really comes in handy. I just wish it was dimmer--less is more.

Yeah, they are exposed diodes which will do that.

I hope you find something that works for you and find a way to tone them down.

Not sure if strategically placed tint might get the job done. Might be less drastic than painting over the diodes.

 

Just curios if Meso would have any suggestions.

 

Odd as it sounds, I may try filling one of the diode wells with a bit of Elmer's school glue. Goes on white, dries clear-ish. May act as a diffuser of sorts.

Then again, I kinda like the dimmer knob idea cause it would allow for adjustment and for those rare times when you DO need a ton of light in the cab.

 

Please update when you get them installed. I'll order immediately if you're happy with them.

 

The driver might not allow for dimming. Best check with Meso on that before attaching a dimmer.

 

Got her back from the body shop for the 2nd time - they did a much better job this time.

 

Overlays came out pretty nice. You can see a little bit of silver on the edge of the passenger side but none on the drivers side. Overall nice fit.

 

Did you have to take off your vent ring covers & reinstall them? Or did it fit over them as is?

 

I was wondering the same. Will they clear the Tufskinz vent rings?

Aww man! I miss my column shifter so bad (had one on my 2014). I'd trade my mount spot for the bench seat in half a heartbeat. On a second note, enjoy the hell outta those KO's. I've had two sets on wife's suv and they're legit. Only reason I got Goodyear's for truck recently was I got a smoking deal, otherwise it'd been KO's all the way. I'm a believer.

 

they had it allllllll day. I’d hope they would have heated the exterior up prior. But nonetheless I contacted the dealership and they said bring it back at my earliest convenience. So back it’ll go Monday. Hopefully something quick. Don’t want to be sans truck too long!

 

I crossed over 145,000 miles and played in the snow at the Grand Canyon today.

 

Gave it a wash after quite a while, but lots of pollen in the air didnt let it stay clean too long. MGM really looks good clean though!

I installed them back in December 2020 and they've been great, I love the low profile look. Some other members have gotten the same ones as well.

 

Can someone w/ a Bakflip MX4 tell me if I get the model for trucks w/out the cargo rail management system (

Found a local (NIB) bakflip 448409 for a great price, instead of the 448409T w/ the track lowering plates. I could still make out for less than new retail.

Those drop down plates are aluminum and greatly reduce how much pull you can put on the rails. But, if you decide to get them, I have a set that you can have.just pay shipping and you may need some hardware from Lowes.
