I’ve been driving my 1st gen more this winter and I gotta say it’s a fun little truck to drive. I’ll pull out the 2.5 gen when the snow melts. Do you guys like the 1st gen toy??

I've had mine for over a year, jumped several vehicles and my lawn tractor numerous times. Last week I used it to jump the neighbors van and it still had a 77% charge.

Changed the belt after noticing a little noise when it’s wet out. New belt took care of it. Not the easiest belt to route with everything in place but doable.

Oh absolutely not. Lol. I can see the marking of the removed vent guard tape. It’s more of an inconvenience, this is all being done in their dime (including initial install, the truck had 3 out of 4 when I purchased a couple weeks ago) so it’ll keep going back until it’s correct. Hoping Monday is last time.

Might be their dime, but their incompetence causes you're inconvenience. I'd push for a loaner vehicle until they get it right.
A subtle reminder that you can't give them a 10/10 on the survey without one. ;)

very true. Fortunately it has not been the most inconvenient and tomorrows experience and their management of the situation will determine the overall experience. I guess the real win that I get to drive my truck:thumbsup:

Do you suggest doing it myself or having a shop do it? I don't need it on the whole truck, just the area under the flares.

Just do it yourself. Doesn’t need to look professional. Mine looks like shit underneath but I don’t care since the flares cover it up.

Installed led reverse, cargo, vanity, and license plate lights yesterday, did Meso Customs dome and map last week. Waiting for Vled footwell kit…FedEx is running a few days late. Should have done this much sooner but was hesitant from reading several horror stories on here, but very glad I did.

Installed Meso lights this morning. I followed the instruction videos on Meso's website. There were 4 T20 screws in my console. Missed the posts about just swapping the lights out without removing the console. I'm pleased with the results. Yes, the white map lights are bright, but that's good IMHO.

What’s you plan Charles when it comes to painting? Going with powder coat or just painting? Reason why I’m asking is I’m thinking of painting mine and I’ve heard both sides of the process

I'm pretty sure the powder coat route will be more durable. I am looking into that option.

Didn't expect this to be of any difficulty buy it was a pain in the ass to line them up as good as I could. Took about 45 min ! Not sure if it's worth the money but it was a stocking stuffer and I'm happy with the results. 20220123_133924.jpg

Is this only required because of the lift and leaf pack? If not, what’s the benefit to this? I don’t even have the TRD sway bar, but it’s on the “eventually” list.

Probably don’t want to hear this now but that section pops out very easily and they are much easier to install with it off.
