Yeah, pretty sure of it. Same lashing mounts, which are too big by the way. Something more streamlined and useful would be more appealing, IMO.
i also thought that something that could be universal enough that you could move them from rails to bedracks to specific mounting locations around the bed would be great. Just another thought that i haven't cashed in on yet

I noticed that the Tundra cleats are huge, and they don't have any of the little mounting holes that we use to mount our Tacoma crossbars, so I'll need to get creative.

What if you had something that you could adjust the height of the cross rails? SO, maybe to drop it 3 inches lower than rail system height or even a little higher than bed height? Would you get enough support from something like that? It could be an adjustable platform piece that attaches to the rails.

Yeah the Tacoma cleats do work in the Tundra rails, as I have a set of each myself.
Primarily because the Tundra ones cannot twist off, they only slide off and don't have those little access holes like the Tacoma does.

Any chance you'll be making the cross bars for use with Tonneau covers?

    That's a great idea!!

So let's target a 3" rise/drop. Flip it either way you want.

Guess who is getting a huge promo code on the first set..... @Almaboy

Would they work with a flush mount hard cover? I have the Gator Evo.

Oh.. and welcome. I remember checking your stuff out when I had my Tacoma.

Badass! I'm thinking to accommodate multiple bedrack heights. I can even send you dimensions of my rack since it's the most low profile I've seen. Yours is actually pretty close though

We might be talking about two different things.

I'm talking about crossbars that will attach to the accessory rail.

Me too. The rails would adjust up and down.

I'm picturing accessories on the rails interfering with bedracks.

Example (not that I would do this) would be someone wants to put their spare in one of your baskets. You can adjust the rail mounts so you add a little more, or less height, depending on the gear in your bed or basket.

So, the over cab high bedracks creates a ton of space in the bed, which would be unusable space unless you were able to adjust your cross rails. The Tundra bed walls are deep. You wouldn't want to create unusable space for people that are consolidating and overlanding

I was thinking about a crossbar that would be mounted two different ways. One way would give three inches rise, the other would give three inches drop.

    Exactly!
Flip up or flip down kind of deal..or something on those lines. That's where I was going too. I say adjustable, you say seperately mounting options. Same thing

Is 3" too much. Maybe 2" is a smarter number.

This is from the center line of the accessory rail.

Would they be dynamic or static?

It they are static then 2 is probably good, but leave the jig so you can add a couple inches in custom scenarios easily
