I hear what you're saying, but I can also say this from experience: We have an assortment of 20v tools at work from all the big name brand colors - Red, yellow, orange, and green (Milwaukee, Dewalt, Rigid, Hitachi). All are Li-ion. I use the drills more than anything and what I'd tell you is, all four big names suck in comparison to my 18v Bosch. The red brand and yellow brand give a run for the money, but yellow has longevity issues and red lacks in comparable power.

I dunno what Bosch is doing, but when my 8 year old 18v Li-ion Bosch driver can stomp the shit out of any of those brands' 20v units, it's not the voltage (18 vs 20) that makes it badass. I'm remaining open to the possibility the 18v Bosch impact driver I bought b/c it's compatible with my drill's battery may royally suck. We'll see, only one way to find out, and that's breaking from status quo. I've never been a status quo kinda dude.

I'd never bought a Bosch power tool in my life. When my Dewalt 16v hammer drill died back in late 2013, I borrowed my neighbor's Bosch 18v non-hammer. I was so impressed I went out and bought one a few weeks later, had it ever since, it's just as good as new. We all seem to push Dewalt and esp. Milwaukee 'round here. I'll be the first to tell you Bosch has exceeded my expectations in every way and continues to impress, almost a decade after my 1st buy. 1st cordless that's lasted more than 5 years.

Mind you - I'm still a Dewalt guy through and through, but given how great Bosch has been, if this impact driver is really freaking awesome, I'll keep my Dewalt corded hammer drill, angle grinder, and other tools, but I think I gradually replace those with Bosch over the next 5-10 years.

There's one like this and a couple of Black & Decker handhelds (I seem to recall they may've been one in the same manuf'er) we keep in the designated "community box" we let the newbies use. Super important to make the FNGs suffer as much as possible. Builds character.

My buddy works for FE, kinda near @Darkness i think, but he’s the pickup guy, so I want to have hate for fedex for you guys, but then because of him, I can’t hate to hard. He actually says he gets lots of gifts from some of his routes, Noah would be jealous of the jelly he’s gotten for free before

they just look loud though. my st maxxes have been surprisingly quiet.

the tire that really impresses me and will likely be my next tire for the tundra (in like 6 years) are the wildpeaks.

actually been surprised with how quiet they’ve been. I figure I’ll gain some noise as they wear. So far they’re on par with st Maxx’s noise wise. Got a little over 5k on them

we’ve got the wild peaks on my wife’s sequoia, so far no real gripes with them. Had some funny wear but the truck needed some front end attention when we bought it

Pics of ST Max setup? I thought I had this tire thing nailed down already.

Damn, how many pieces of old tech you got? You know, you can bulk-donate stuff to NPOs and actually get tax write-offs for the old crap.

Nah man, if you saw the stuff they have posted on their online auction site - and it actually sells - you may be shocked. They take that stuff all day long.

ive got a whole shelf of stuff in blow molded cases. i knew the 12v drill was in there. The 9.6’s were surprises, and i learned i have a krag jig. When i helped my old people move they gave me tools and antiques, since i wouldnt let them pay.

the hoard provides. I know i have a b&d 6v electric screwdriver, but i didnt find it while i was looking.

the old men in the neighborhood stand at my gate on neighborhood garage sale day… one of these years i’ll let em in like im willy wonka.

I have 5 large body panels coming from CA this week via UPS.
I got tracking info Sunday, the parts were picked up Monday, and departed their first UPS location this morning a hair before 0200 EST.

They're still showing and ETA of Friday 2/18. If UPS can get me these large pieces in 4 days and FedEx can't get me an envelope in 7, there should be no more debate on the matter. (That specifically being that FedEx is the absolute fucking worst.)

    Posted wrong thread again...

Just spent the day buying an Utramobile sim card so I could activate and port the number to Cricketwireless for a $99 Iphone 11 and 3 months of service. PIA, but worth it. Six months from now I can unlock it, sell it and buy an Iphone 12.

Can't bring myself to like this. Hate to see a 1st gen get treated like that. Not sure if I feel worse for the dogs or the truck.

I rode in a clients c8 a few months back. It is an amazing sports car and very quick but not a corvette in my opinion.
