2013 going to do both front wheel bearings due to a shimmy that gets much worse when turning into a curve at highway speeds.

Can anyone touch on the quality of Dorman front wheel bearing assemblies? I have used their products on other vehicles without issue.

    Also looking at the BECKARNLEY?

    Too many, but not enough....
I have never had issues with Dorman stuff, but I never tried anything as critical as bearings. I honestly would probably pay a bit more for oem or a higher end brand.

Alot of ppl on this forum will give you shit for using Dorman, like you don't love your truck lol

    I’d go with Timken

What’s the price difference between oem vs Dorman or timken?

    I would always recommend oem

I would get the pre-pressed Koyos off eBay.

I won’t say that I’ll never use Dorman products again, but it will be on a vehicle I’m about to trade, sell, or have similar low expectations of lifespan. And that’s from personal experience of how short their products do last.

I wouldn’t buy a Dorman truck, would you? Yeah, I’m well aware that Toyota doesn’t make bearings. But I’d far sooner go for a Koyo, Timken, or SKF (often reboxed Koyo bearings for these applications) before I wasted my time with Doormat.

With the current situation you might have to use whatever is available and be thankful to have some. Still lots of shortages on various things.

I don't see a Timken hub assembly. I want to purchase the wheel hub assembly not just a bearing or I would go with Timken.

I do see a SKF hub assembly available on Rock Auto but only 1 left. When I do a google search everyone else is out of stock.

You seem pretty knowledgeable on this, have you had any experience with BECK/ARNLEY?

    Sorry, it's been a few years, I don't recall.
I would imagine they do, but would be a good thing to ask about when you order.

I actually discovered that my front lug nuts were loose this morning. I had them torqued to 110 ft lbs. Book calls for 97 on aluminum wheels. I went 120 ft lbs today. Will update. Issue is gone.

Perhaps someone was attempting to steal your rims and didn't finish for whatever reason. Had that happen to me once. May wanna consider wheel locks if you don't already have em'.

Beck/Arnley is typically quality stuff, though it varies a bit in my experience. I wouldn’t be surprised to open a Beck/Arnley box and find the bearing is one of the good name brands I mentioned, but can’t guarantee it either.

I’d try them way before Dorman, any day, all day.

Do you have stock alloy wheels with these style lug nuts?
    images_0ac6cd1a931b916a3e6a0d5f0d0372ffebf58b9b.jpg

The 97 ft-lbs spec does not apply to aftermarket wheels with taper-seat lug nuts. There is far more friction on taper-seat nuts, that is why Toyota’s spec for steel wheels with taper-seat nuts is 154ft-lbs.

Great info, thank you. That explains why I had trouble. I have them torqued to about 120 now haven't had any issues.
