2018 Crewmax here and just moved to snow country and never had a camper shell before. This morning I experienced a terrible sound caused from the snow/ice that has built up between the back window and camper shell.

Now I remember seeing a rear visor or some sort that was more like a spoiler that could bridge the cab and camper shell but now cannot find anything like that. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Looks like the EGR rear spoiler is the option but does anyone have this installed with a camper shell ?

What about a pool noodle for temporary fix?

A tarp, a beach towel, park it under a tree, park it inside, knock it out while it's still snow and hasn't become ice yet, take off the cap, leave the cap and remove the truck, get a softtopper, wax the cap and cab so the snow/ice doesn't stick, buy a flamethrower, move further south, box the frame so the truck won't flex, flatbed conversion, just buy the Sequoia you really want.

    Pick your poison.

You don't want to put anything solid between the camper shell and the cab. The truck bed moves as the frame flexes and if you do that you will damage the shell, the cab, or both.

There are some cab boots/seals out there that you can get to help with this, but honestly you should remove the snow from your vehicle before driving. This includes the roof. Get a snow broom and keep it clear and you won't have any issues.

    Might be the best solution.

Haha thanks. I actually had though about buying a Sequoia actually....but flamethrower...
Thank you. I will definitely remember that. I have brushed my truck off but it falls down between.

I wouldn't worry about it unless it happens fairly often. My experience is the sound of ice rattling between the cab and shell doesn't occur too often. Usually the snow melts vs a thaw-freeze cycle that keeps a bunch of ice between the cab and shell. But I know what you're saying, and perhaps it occurs more often in your location than mine.

Keep the pool noodle in the bed of the truck when driving. When parked, take it out if it's going to snow and stuff it in there. Then take it out when you go to drive. Then you still have the flexibility and no risk of it flying out either.

You are right, the sound this morning was just so terrible but now it is already gone and have been running the defrost...to help melt it

Okay. Running defrost helped a bunch. Window thawed to roll down...basically just scooped the snow and ice out by hand. . .

    Some.
Buy a few beach towels. When you park and it is going to snow, throw one over the gap between cab/cap, and throw one over your windshield.

Lol… I agree. Scoot that shell a little closer to the cab maybe. I’ve never had that problem before

I can find one in Florida at my sister's....

I don't think I have any room to move it forward, the other issue I notice is snow and ice building up in the door jams. I think I will just have to deal with it every so often.

Maybe the wind blowing across the snow pile didn't help...
