Is there a way to definitively find what size battery my truck will accommodate? Does it even matter? Looking at the Interstate.

It has the 4.6 SR5 OEM tow package w/150amp alternator.

Currently have a low quality Autozone battery slowly dying.

Definitely go 27F, more cold cracking amps and longer reserve!

It's possible, I believe you need longer J hangars because the group 31 is taller than a 27.

24F or 27F but go with the 27F which is larger and has more reserve capacity.

Oh snap! First I've seen the red TRD fuse block cover.

Think I would have to grab the red top optima. Lolz

No way I would get an OEM after all of the premature failures. Mine went under 2 years. When they go it will be a dead cell.

My 2013 OEM Went 8 yrs no problem, still in bed for accessories and going strong, New OEM working great, 2yrs, I'll stand by my OEM for everyday driving and occasional offroad use, but if serious off roading then spend the 3-400 for others. Not sure who on here is listing all the premature failures your talking about , I haven't read about them, even the best brand can have a bad one now and then. Odds always favor OEM parts.

Tundra OEM calls for 27F no larger tray was needed. That's what dealer said, maybe depends on package, mine has towing pkg and larger ALTERNATOR. And I believe there are different levels of 27F and 24F to determine CCA and Reserve Amps. Mine has , CCA710 , Reserve160,

They are there and could fill a book. The ones on my Tacomas lasted a little longer then 2 years and gave me a little slow crank warning. Not the case with the Tundra. Backed up to hook up the boat and deader then dead. I had driven home from work before I turned it off. Batteries are one part that I never replace with OEM.

Not to beat this to death. I spoke with Toyota service mgr yesterday re my 2010 Tundra (5.7 with tow pkg). I had a large Northstar 27F AGM battery for a couple years. A bodyshop fixing the front bumper, replaced my battery with a 24F. He said my battery was dead. It wasn't, but that's another story. The 24 is smaller in size and looks really small compared to the 27. Talking to the service mgr, he confirmed it could have either battery depending on what electrical options the truck has installed from the factory. He didn't recommend replacing a 27 with a 24 due to the alternator's capacity. He said it would burn up a smaller battery faster. My tundra came with a 27 and now I got to resolve this with the bodyshop. Wish me luck.
