Well this looks promising. Now, my confidence level is now very high, especially since we have identical set ups. The Solo arms may prove to take care of that rub, but there are options if not. Was there any possibility of stuffing the top of the tire into the fender flares at full up travel that you could see when the spacers were on?

Guilty! The tire clearances itself on the plastic but the sound isn’t reassuring.

I don’t think it’ll be as easy with the 35x12.5’s!

35X12.5 seems quite big. But in general - I feel like those flares have some room for trimming.

I believe you have to pop the steering rack out of the way to get at the rear cam bolts. I did mine at night in the Winter rain, you'll have a better time than I had.

I think you can fit a 285 since you have TC uppers. If not there are a few skinny 34/35 options out there. BFG makes a 34x10.5 tire for 17s.

With your truck on the ground take a look at how much room you have today between the spindle where the upper joint is and tire(your upper arm for sure won't interfere but spindle might). If you can barely fit a finger in there then you'll need spacers, but if you see an inch you should be fine. I have at least an inch there on my truck with 285s and 4.5 backspace. After you check that, lift your front end up until the tires leave the ground and look again, if the tires spin free check the gap.

I forgot about the rack and blocking those rear cam bolts - oof! add 30 min.

The tires on there now are 10.8 wide, the 285s are 11.2, by the book anyway. I'm gonna go look at just that upper joint now. I'm at work so probably won't be jacking it up quite yet, lol. Thanks @Darkness

It will be very close. Spindle gusset is 3/4" away. Top of the spindle has a little more room, until a taller tire is in there.

I have knock my flares off so many times. A lot of broken clips and double sided tape. But that is only on those aggressive “hold my beer” sends.

I will also be getting the solo LCA in a few months

I think you have it but that is close. Here's mine for reference. Anybody have his backspace and 285s in the LA area for a test fit? :D

I dropped my wheels off today. Jason will let me know if it clears or doesn’t once he’s done with the drums. Probably will be a little while.

It seems that after reading all of this and what Chris is working out - Solo arms will buy some space, spacers may be needed, some trim may occur, but it will work out. We will know for sure on this truck in 2-3 weeks.

Crap, I just realized we have the same wheel but the tire I'm trying to jam in there has a 75 aspect ratio. It's an inch taller than the 70.

I can help. I have 285/75/17. I also, can bring my 35 and see how they fit. One issue, I don't remember the backspacing to both wheels.

If those 312s are 8.5", they are identical to mine. 0mm/4.75
If they are 9", they are -12mm/4.5
Either one will pant a very good picture.

Waiting for Solo Motorsports stock length LCAs. Tire size on hold.
Added a switch next to the locker switch, added a twin ARB under the passenger seat. Now with some inspiration from @FrenchToasty, planning on how to get the most fun out of it.

Partially installed rear skid / tank holder.
Figuring out the plumbing for the air compressor / tanks. I'll start with a passenger's side manifold that can serve as a 4-tire air down - air up, and/or a simple single hose.
Front skid plates noise worked out.
Had the loose bolts problem on the tranny mount causing some unwanted clunk (2005-2006 2WD issue). Ordered the TSB parts to make that a long term fix.
    400 miles into the 4.88 gears break-in.
Received the Solo Motorsports lower control; arms and plan to tackle those Sunday.
Picked up some baby light bars.[IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

I have 3 plates that overlap in 2 places. The front of the first plate is bolted directly to the frame. The back of the last plate is bolted directly to the cross member with the supplied bolts and t-nut things. Where the plates over-lap is where I added bushings. (4 bolts, 4 tie rod bushings cut in half) for a total of 8 donuts.
