Has anyone noticed the new Tundra sr5 double cab has less cab room in the back then the old Dbl cab.
And the price was 50600 for a long bed sr5 what has Toyota done. I will be driving my last Toyota truck. Only thing I can buy is a damn corolla. :burnrubber:Turbo engines do not get the longevity out of them. Horse power sells cars torque wins races all I want to do is buy a truck and not leave both my kids there for a down payment. Lol.

I keep hearing about mpg I have 2011 dbl cab 4x4. Stock I drive it about 30000 miles a year, more or less depending on the year. I get 16 every fill up on highway 14 city. I don't drive like a butthead and run about 76 mph with 290000 miles on the girl now. I tow a 7700 lbs camper and I hit hills that I know the new twin turbo motor won't pull unless running max rpm which I don't need to do now. I have know use for a 3/4 ton truck this half ton does what I need and then some. For all the non believers 350 miles to around 20-21 gallons every fill up that is right about the time my gas light comes on. When she was new with non 10 ply tires it got 400 mile to 20 gallons for 78000 miles like a timex watch. The new Tundra is nice lots of leg room up front for driver and passenger nothing for my kids in the back it looks just like the old ext cab trucks in back seat size. My 14 year old is 6' 2 with a size 15 shoe my 6 year old girl is right on his heals in size. Wish I would of just sprung for the crew max but nobody has a crystal ball. Love my Tundra and I was super excited about the new truck. Now all the wind is out of my sail after seeing the dbl cab in person. I know the market is crazy but 900 bucks a month for a truck or any vehicle at this time is crazy. I just don't understand where this became the new normal for family's to finance for 84 months insane.

In 2008 I bought my DC 4x4 new for under $25K, not a ton of options on it however you could get a decent Tundra far under $30K

I wondered this but if you have to use premium fuel as recommended are you really saving in gas?

Not sure why people keep pointing to this but there is absolutely nothing anywhere that says the 3rd Gen needs premium.
