Have the 2.5 toytec alumas at 2.5 with a shim and 5160 and + 2 shackle for the real. Wanted to put up a poll but didn’t know how. Coachbuilder suggested these and against Camburg and the higher priced options for my application. Thanks for the input

3" + Camburg are good options, less than 3 not so much.

Zone are likely to be more user friendly (alignment tech wise). The JBA and SPC will need to have someone capable of reading to align well.

I have JBA. Greaseable and replacement joints. No complaints…Other than they are red!

SPC UCA here; waiting on my shipment to come, but I went with these due to the ability to adjust caster.

Camburg ball joint ones (screw uniballs). No fucking with setting the arm up or potential to move around, just install and get it aligned.

just installed JBA ones, but I only have 5100's about 2" level. plus going to a reputable alignment shop so I'm betting I wont have any issues.

Upper ball joints were bad. I choose JBA for price, greasable and rebuildable.

Gotcha. Didn’t think it was advised with under 3” of lift.

I have had JBA's for 8 months or so. Easy to grease, I like the TRD red but you could always paint them if you don'tJBA.jpg . First Gen is a different model but I would presume they have the same build quality as the Second Gen model.

SPCs for adjustibility. Stay away from camburg. Myself and another member both cant get ours in alignment with them. I think he unloaded his and im just dealing with it.

Another plug for MCM parts. Excellent build quality and install was a breeze. Alignment shop was impressed with how close the alignment was before final adjustment.

The fact that the ball joint can slide. In my life, if it can go wrong it will. Just my opinion but I can't cozy up to sliding ball joint concept

The fine thread with a great deal of torque applied creates a significant clamping force. Are people having problems here, there, and everywhere? Nope! Fasteners hold much of the entire truck together. What happens if a tie rod end fails going down the interstate? Nothing good, but everyone in every vehicle rolls on without much concern. Just my .02.

Tie rods are necessary, sliding ball joint..... not so much. I've never heard of anyone having trouble with the SPC's but I wouldn't run 'em on my truck.

Just to clarify the SPC Joint doesn't slide , it works somewhat like a cam ,using hex washers , and once it's locked down it can't slide. So there is no chance of movement once you decide on location of joint and lock it down.IMG-1670.jpg IMG-1671.jpg

This dudes right. My camburgs on my FJ dont ever align correctly. Ive given up since its really minimal and I wheel it enough that id have to get it aligned all the time but I wish i had SPCs for it. My FJ is lifted about 2.5 inches. I will be putting SPC on the tundra along with the coach builder kit next year when i can justify getting new tires. It seems the SPC provide the best alignment and oem spec (theyre known for this across platforms), regardless of lift heights.

I just lifted my 2017 with OME and want to order UCAs. I’ve narrowed it down to JBA and SPC.

I like the SPCs but prefer less moving parts of the JBAs.

    Decisions, decisions..
