apparently a new trim is coming called the SX (throw back to an old trim name)

color matched door handles, rear bumper, interior trim pieces smoked silver, door emblems removed, rear 4x4 emblem is blacked out, front color matched mustache, dark grey wheels.

dbl cab in 6.5 and crew cab in 5.5 ft only.

white, grey metallic, silver metallic, black metallic.

How much would the SX trim cost? Between SR and SR5?

    like those 18" wheels

they need to offer a color match look like this on every trim

just have a box that says color match and let us check it on any trim

I agree. All that chrome and mismatched finishes really don't look that good. For me, that's why I bought the Sport back in 2018.

    SX Package: Stylish Profile
The new SX Package is available exclusively on SR5 grades in 4×2 or 4×4. It is offered on Double Cab models with 6.5-foot bed and CrewMax models with the 5.5-foot bed. In all cases, it dresses up the Tundra with bold styling thanks to Dark Gray Metallic 18-inch wheels and by substituting black for body-color trim, including outer door handles and the rear inboard bumper. The Tundra door badges are removed for a minimalist look, while the 4×4 badge on the tailgate gets blacked out (on applicable 4×4 models). Similar treatment can be found inside the cabin, as black accents replace smoked silver for the trim.

The SX Package is available with four exterior colors: White, Magnetic Gray Metallic, Celestial Silver Metallic and, for a particularly striking look, Midnight Black Metallic.

That is correct, which is a bummer. I was hoping they would switch out the Lunar Rock with the Cement. Or even Quicksand

So, does this mean dealers aren't being allocated any more '22s?

the one thing that is lame is all these manufactures advertising like crazy like you can actually go and get a truck you want like the old days

    2023 advertising? ya right.

That said, Im guessing this specific trim is the response from just about everyone about the stash and chrome and mismatched materials

meh bring back the old speedway blue, but the blazing blue was a decent replacement for the speedway somewhat.

Now that’s a much better look. Betcha this trim will be very difficult to get and those who do score will most likely pay out of the nose.

Prefer the flat blue of Voodoo blue instead of the metallic. To each their own. My current 4Runner is dark blue metallic like the current Blue Print on the Tundra. Nice but too dark.

Is the Pro color staying Solar Octane for 2023? That would be a first. That is what the press release eludes too.

The on-line car mags have more pictures, including the interior, which looks a lot like the Current SR and the wheels look like blacked out versions of the silver base SR5 wheels. All in all a lot like the black package on my Tacoma. I would estimate that the package will add about a grand to the price. Mikey like, and if I gotta wait for a ‘23…

Sounds like a package on the SR5 trim. So probably just an appearance package charge, maybe $500-1000?

I was hoping they would bring the blue used in the 22 Tacoma lineup. Forget what it's called. But doesn't look like it.

I have the SX package in my 2020. It’s an SR5 with 18” black aluminum wheels, black painted front and rear bumpers, console safe & black paint grill. But I did lose the rear pass through window and the underwear storage tray. Bought a OEM tray for cheap and the pass through window I have mixed feels about. All in all I like the SX as it get rid of all the chrome and has painted parts instead. As for price I didn’t have a regular SR5 to compare to because stock was getting limited but I paid like $38k and change OTD.

One could only hope it came in around that price.

Considering how much time and effort some of us are spending to color match and debadge the exterior (wrap/dip/paint/etc) and still stuck with the interior brushed silver and chrome trim pieces that would be a steal in my opinion.

Still no tow hooks though (unless I missed it)…or maybe that info is yet to be released.
