Hey everyone. Ok, here is my dilemma. I have full HID headlights and fog lights in my truck and have had no issues with them since I installed them almost 2 years ago. The other night however I installed Ice Blue LED turn signal/running lights in the truck and to eliminate the hyper flash I installed Sylvania equalizers to make everything work properly. Once I installed the new lights the headlights still continue to work fine but all of a sudden the fog lights do not work anymore. I troubleshooted by checking both bulbs spite the fact that I have already changed them roughly a month prior to the new LED change. I have also checked the fuses and none are blown. Lastly I have checked the relay and that is still ok as well as I swapped it out with a relay I know works. I do not hear a click when I turn on the fog lights where of course I should hear one. I removed the casing of the fog lights to check the wiring and everything appears to be ok and in order. This has all happened since I installed the LED lights in the turn signal/running lights. Could there be an issue somehow with the equalizer? The fog lights and turn signal lights shouldn't be connected but even if they were this shouldn't happen. Or at least I don't think it should happen. Any thoughts on this?

It’s your park fuse under the dash. Use a fuse tester or volt meter to see if you can tone that fuse. You will probably also notice your rear running lights not working.

Same happened to me in my 2008 tundra by using LED bulbs that weren’t compatible with Toyota’s DRL.

Ok so I tried that. It appears that you are correct in that being the fuse that is blown. However I changed it out from a 15 AMP fuse to a 25 AMP fuse and it blew it again. Suggestions on how to keep this from constantly blowing?

Short or wiring can't handle the load would be my guess. Check with a meter what's being drawn amp-wise and for shorts to ground. I don't know that its a great idea to put a larger amp fuse in the socket. I'm sure you knew that, but I still had to say it in case you may not know.

No, thanks I was not aware of that. I'll try and figure out what is being drawn on it with a meter like you suggested. Thanks again and I'll report back with my findings tomorrow.

No worries. Just check for short to ground with and without the new items (LED's and equalizers) installed and see if you can run the meter in series to determine the amp draw, which is obviously excessive or the 25 amp fuse wouldn't have blown.

Having this same issue with my 2016. I can't seem to find the "park" fuse. Did you confirm that's the one it was?

OK, so on 2.5 gens it's the TAIL fuse and that solved my issue! Thanks everyone!
