sounds like you got the higher price. Should be high $500- low $600

 

I think that's for both front and rear pieces which sounds right.

 

For me, I paid $709 shipped:

• Tundra Grille Surround Kit- 3rd Generation Color: 6V7 - Army Green = $533.03
• Tundra Rear Bumper Panel Kit - 3rd Generation Color: Flat Black/Textured = $121.30
• Shipping to PA = 54.87

Forgot to use the easily found 5% discount codes on youtube or this forum. I also decided that I did not care for the paint matched rear bumper panels, just leaves more body work to scratch up after I put a camper in the bed. They are not paint matched on TRD Pros anyway.

 

Sorry, forgot to mention. Price is for both the front and rear with color match. Received an email from Sparks just now stating they got my order and have ordered the parts and once they receive, they send off to paint, which could take up to 4 weeks to paint and cure.

 

Check your emails. I placed an order a couple hours ago and got an email half an hour later saying the parts were on backorder already

 

Have not received that email yet

At these prices, would it not be better to just get your stock front end painted?

 

That's what I'm doing, painting the original parts, but if they are the shiny chrome, you cannot paint it. Satin chrome (brushed nickel as come call it) can be painted when prepped.

 

Thanks for letting me know. For the shiny chrome, I guess it would need to be sanded, primed then painted?

 

Shiny chrome? Paint will not stick to it, buy new parts. Satin chrome (dull) sand, epoxy primed, then paint.

My satin chrome was sanded/painted and started chipping almost immediately. It may be better than shiny chrome, but in my experience it is 100% not as robust as getting the new trim pieces and doing it the right way. YMMV

I paid $300 to have the mustache painted and another $300 to have it wrapped in PPF to help try and protect it. I might as well have just bought the new pieces tbh

 

Anyone have experience with the the two types of Go Rhino step finishes - the bedliner vs the “textured” black? I ordered RB20s in textured black but wondering if I made a mistake… just looking for pros/cons of each.

 

I haven’t had experience with RB20 but i orders the next liner finish as I found them for $600 shipped

For those interested in floor mats. Photos are of the two different mats I have. Ones are the OEM Toyota version and the others are Weathertech.

 

I like how the WeatherTech provides coverage higher up the side and front. Not sure why they didnt cover the entire footrest like the OEM does.

Last time I looked at WT and Husky liners, neither offered anything for the rear yet. Big reason why I went with OE all weather floor liners. I wanted an aftermarket set at first. But not gonna wait to take care of the rear as well.

 

Weathertech has had the 2022 rears for over a month now.

 

Found an entire kit online front and rear with adjusters. It's really tempting but part of me wants to run Fox.

That being said, anyone have any insider info as to when Fox might be releasing a kit?

 

Have you reached out to Michael at Adventure Motors KC? I am picking up my truck and heading 13hrs straight to his shop to get his kit installed. Fox fronts, dobinsons rears, dobinson coils, custom sway bar brackets, bump stops and extended brake lines- actual real deal full kit.

 

I have. He quoted me nearly 3 grand for a Frankenstein lift. Not a huge fan of everything they put together but props to them for figuring something out quickly. I’d rather wait and spend a few hundred extra bucks to have a suspension actually built and tuned for this platform. The full king kit is 3700 and that’s 2.5 shocks all the way around with adjusters and reservoirs.

 

The shocks he is using are tuned for the truck thankfully, not just off the shelf.

$3700 + UCA/s- $1k-2k, plus bump stops $300, rear coils $300+, sway bar links ???, brake lines $300, etc will add up fast. I'll report back next week, getting mine installed Saturday and driving it 15hrs to Montana and will be off-road all next week.
