I have a 21 platinum and was wondering if these seat jacks are worth it. The platinum has a lot of adjustability on the seats so idk if it will make much of a difference. Can anyone give there experience with these on a platinum?
Also a big concern is does this compromise the safty if you are in a car accident? Has anyon been in a major accident with these installed?

Step 1 - Decide if you are comfortable in your seat on long drives right now
YES - Go to step 3
NO - Go to step 2
Step 2 - Get the spacer
Step 3 - Be happy with your ride

Personally I've been happy with my seat on 10hr drives, so I see no need to mess with my seat, despite all the hype.

I am but if you can make improvements and they're worth it why not?

I was really skeptical before I bought them. I snagged them on a Memorial Day discount and I’m super happy. I’m 5’11 and before I had to hold my right knee/leg up while working the gas pedal. Now my legs sit comfortable down on the seat and I don’t strain holding my leg up while operating the gas. They made a huge difference for me.

I have them in my FJ but then again their seats are notoriously bad for long drives and overall lack of adjustment. After install I took a 9 hour trip and they had kept me from getting my usual sciatica pain I would get on long drives. I’m 6’3” 225 if that helps any. I think the tundra seats are waaaaaaaay better then the FJs.

Yes 100%. I only did driver seat. My son is learning to drive so I have to ride in passenger seat occasionally. I should have done passenger seat as well.

I put them on the driver and passenger seats. Big improvement but expensive.

Yes I recommend, I just installed them last night, drove 65 miles today and so much better.

I am short a I find they were very beneficial because I don’t feel like I am tilting forward anymore. Additionally my lower back stays pinned to the seat. Prior I would have to consistently slide back a little (very annoying).

Good question about the accident factor however they are extremely stout…for whatever that is worth.

For me they are worth it. If you want to see for yourself, take the front seat bolts out and raise the seat up using wood or shims and see how you feel.

Got them for both driver and passenger...now feel like I'm IN a bucket seat, not ON an office chair. Both me and the missus were surprised what a difference it made, when we seemed comfortable before, then were thoughtful about our positions in the seats (if that makes sense).

I am like 5-6, 5-7 and I am fine in my seat. I looked at the product and WOW, $90 per seat. As far as safety, well your going from your seat bolted down to steel by one bolt to now it being attached by 2 bolts to aluminum. The 1 bolt that attaches to the OEM location is an allen head, I would much prefer the OEM style bolt. And I might be mistaken but from the install video it look like the OEM bolt is a bigger size than the bolt use for the seat jacker. I would venture to say that probably with enough force, which is created in an accident, it could rip the bolts out of the aluminum. But lets just hope this never happens. At least the company better hope it never happens.

They do put a disclaimer, but obviously anyone can sue for anything. That said I don't really see the need to add this if you have a Platinum, the whole point of the platinum is to get all the seat adjustments. Im 5'7 and am very comfy in my seat, probably the most comfortable seat I've ever had in a vehicle.

Didn't catch that, interesting. Yeah, I will skip being a crash test dummy so someone else can profit.

Get the seat jackers... in an accident your seat belt holds you in place not the seat you are sitting on.

I take it you have never looked. The part that releases the seat belt is attached to the seat. The force of a person place on that seat in an accident is more than you think. Go look up a car crash calculator and see the impact force created at only 40mph for 180lbs person.

Comon, they use a factory grade bolt and the rear of the seat uses the same factory bolt. So what if its aluminum. If you don't need the product that's fine but the F150 is all aluminum and it has better crash ratings than a tundra. You have seat belts, airbags galore and 3 tons of steel around you. Never once heard of a seat dislodged from a car and if it did no bolt in the seat would have saved you. If people care about safety enough where an aluminum block scares you, go ahead and read what happens to your legs in a tundra on the small overlap crash test.

I was just giving my take on it. Plus I did say lets hope it never happens, I just didn't want to be the crash test dummy that finds out regardless. And I am pretty sure I trust Fords aluminum F150 a lot more than a fabricator making seat jackers with a disclaimer. Just saying.

100% worth it I’ve done some long hauls recently and the comfort difference is wild.

I seen a jeep flip over and the rear seat fell right out on the street, thank God no one was in the back.
Do you have a compressor under your seat?

I don't have a Platinum. I have a Limited and like the seat jackers. Long trips are more comfortable to me.

No tank? I installed mine in my bed with an air tank. I can hear that thing running with all the windows closed, I can't imagine how loud that is in the cab! you have the one Tundra that now has vibrating massage lol

Gutcha! I guess you'd never have it running with you driving then anyway. Mine sometimes kicks on to top the tank off when the weather gets cooler, always feel bad when it does it and the dogs are in the bed. I have the Viair 20008.
