Coated the tires with Adam's Graphene Tire dressing over the weekend from the prime day deal. The first picture was just one coat. I like the shine so I did not wipe the tires afterwards. Yesterday I drove through some torrential downpours and most roads had 3 or 4 inches of water and washed out across most lanes. After about 15 miles of this, this is how it held up. I'm impressed.

Adams products are good stuff, though I have their foam cannon and it just eats soap, but everything else has been great.

You notice any 'sling off' after applying on the drive?

Not that I have seen. I initially put it on on Saturday and let it sit and drove it Sunday.

That's great holding power. Cover All fades a lot more once rain hits it. I already send plenty of money to Adams so I might as well order me some of this!

Yeah I was looking at their cannons/sprayers and wasn't impressed with the reviews. Did you find a good one elsewhere? I'm in the market.

If you're referring to their sprayers, they are IK sprayers with an Adams sticker on it. I have an IK foamer and it has help up very well. As far as foam cannons go, the MTM PF22.2 is the most expensive that I know of. I have the original version, the PF22, and it works very well. The Griots Garage Brilliant Finish foam cannon and the MJJC Pro 2.0 are less money, and both have been getting very good reviews.

Can you define "eats soap"? Are you saying that you need to use a lot of soap to get decent foam? There are lots of reasons why this can happen, and the issue may not be the cannon itself. What pressure washer are you using...and what is its GPM rating? What size orifice is in the foam cannon? How is your water quality?

If you're in Denver, Adam's also sponsors to the official Cars N Coffee on the 1st Saturdays. They also do free car detailing education events at their headquarters. The tour of their packaging facility was pretty cool. They also make the chemicals in Denver, which is also neat.

Gotta say I bought their foam cannon and it also used a ton of soap fast. Haven't used it in about a year. I saw them use it at their demonstration event and it seemed to work tons better, so I'm sure it's something we're doing wrong.

There are a bunch of things that can go wrong. There's a filter in it that may need to be cleaned. Some soaps are specifically designed for foam cannons. I've seen very good foam made with Adams Mega Foam.....maybe give some of that a try and see if the consistency of the foam improves. If you have either and Advance Auto Parts or Autozone near you...some of them carry Jay Lenos Vehicle wash. I've had excellent results with it out of the foam cannon.

For their demonstration, I'm sure they had all their ducks in a row. Probably had a pressure washer with a GPM of around 2.0, with some very soft water too. Nothing like a stellar demo to get folks to buy products.

What type of applicator did you use? Tires with a lot of edges and patterns make even application a bit of a challenge for me.

That’s where I’m at. I use Griots Black Satin aerosol. Other products last longer but I just can’t be bothered to spend that much time applying them anymore when it takes five minutes to re-spray an aerosol.

You talking about foam cannons? That’s one product there’s no point in spending a bunch of money on. I’ve been using this one for nearly five years with no issues:

    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09M6YH279
MATCEE Upgraded Foam Cannon Foam Blaster Pressure Washer Jet Wash with 1/4'' Quick Connector Snow Foam Cannon Nozzle 1 Liter Bottle Snow Foam Lance

I use Chemical Guys Honeydew Snow Foam with it. You only use a couple of ounces in the cannon. Works great and I probably get at least a couple of trucks done with one fill of the cannon.

Whatever this forum told me to do
this is the 2nd best way to apply.

the best being "laying of hands" ..wipe it with your hand - to get it all covered without a medium soaking any product up, then walk away.

old black man in Galveston taught me that many moons ago.

Yeah I'm sure it ain't the best and being raised up in the Assembly of God church system I'm certainly no stranger to "laying of hands" but I'd still rather spray and walk :p

Jumping on this. Thanks! I have a cheapo Amazon cannon but it just won't cut it. Hard to dial in the spray pattern I want and while I'm trying to do that I lose a ton of soap

I have become a big fan of this product. I like that there is very little sling, which is easy to see on a white truck. Perhaps the “spray and walk away” is the ticket.
