Anyone figure out a place to put the buttons for a heated seat mod? The only buttons I see available are near the driver side door but thats not ideal for the passenger. The only "blank" buttons are the flipper switches in the middle but not sure how you would add them to one of them. Anyone have any ideas?

Ya I don't have those. I have the SR5 non premium. The only buttons that are blank are the flipper ones, I'm wondering if we are able to add custom buttons to those

When I had the heated seats installed on my sr5, the dealer put the buttons on side of the seats

That's interesting, that could work well. Thanks for the idea

Does the aftermarket seat heater pad interfere with the passenger seat airbag sensor at all? I've had that issue before with a Subaru. The heat pad made the car think there was always a passenger in the seat, so it beeped all the time unless I buckled the seat belt for the empty seat. I eventually had to take the pad out of the seat bottom and only use the one in the back rest.

id be careful about adding the switch to that seat area location on a 2022. There have been a bunch of those panels at the seat base breaking on the 2022s, suggest you choose another location.

Ya I have thought about other places. I want to find out the flipper locations in the middle and find a way to place it there. With that being said, all the seat issues seem to be the people with electric seats and not manual like mine. I also use my step when I get out, I could see it being an issue if you didnt have a step installed.

    It’s not gonna work.
Should’ve just paid extra for the feature.
Now it’s gonna cost you $$ and time.

Which would’ve been equivalent to getting the package. Good luck

Wow, that isn't true at all.
I put seat heaters in my Tundra for less than $100 and a Saturday afternoon.
Much cheaper than spending several grand buying a Limited than my SR5.

Maybe you're just lazy AND ignorant.

@Newtonfb I can't help you with the 22 switch location, I don't know what the inside of a 22 looks like.
There were several options in my 2014.
I put them towards the front of the console.
I simply tapped into the 12v socket circuit to power them.
I would put them where they are always visible, it's sure easy to forget they are on until you sit in them.:eek2:

    Good luck..

The whole dash does come out. If you would rather swap for a complete ac unit.
I apologize and take back those statements.

Put them on the pillars of the center console

In my experience it's much cheaper to add leather, heating, and cooling than purchasing those options from the factory. You can also pick your own colors and design.

Thanks guys for the comments. I dont think the pillars of the console are big enough like the 2nd gen? Looks like maybe next to the parking break button would be a good location? I did add heating seats to my 08 4Runner and it was fairly easy, I'm just having trouble picking out a good spot in the 22

I would do some research on those flipper switch locations. I think that would be a super clean OEM looking spot.

I'm going to do side of the seat. I have cloth seats so the seat plastic issue doesn't effect the manual seats. I haven't had the time to do it yet tho
