As the title states, I just noticed the past couple days that when I go out and start the truck my climate control is turned off and when I manually turn it on it shows a setting of 72 degrees for driver and passenger (I have the dual climate controls). I always run the ac and have it set to "Lo" and the fan speed at least half way turned up when I turn the truck off. It seems that just recently (last 2 or 3 days) it isn't holding the settings when the truck is restarted. I've searched as best as I could and haven't come across any threads related to this. Anyone else ever run into this or have any ideas of what to check? Truck is a 2017 Limited. Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions.

Thanks. I did come across that thread and it will give me a place to start. I did google a bit this morning and found a few mentions of the servos being the problem. I'm going to take a peek later today and wonder if this may be caused from me tucking my pedal commander and cord in that area behind the carpet. I wonder if the cord somehow is getting in the way of any moving parts. I did just pull the pedal commander out a few days ago to change the setting before tucking it back away, so maybe that is my problem which would be an easy fix since this just seemed to start happening a few days ago.

Techstream will give AC trouble codes which will help narrow it down. The AC Amplifier (AC ECU) stores codes when its not happy.

When a servo or other sensor goes down, the AC system will no longer retain its memory setting. I think it "resets" itself upon startup every time while trying to look for the missing sensor. Does the AC have a 20-30 second delay now before it starts working when truck is started?

Nope, no delay. It seems to be random when it happens, it doesn't happen on every startup. I've been leaving the ac at different temperatures and fan speeds when shutting the truck off to see if I can narrow it down. When it does happen the ac system is just turned off at startup. I've waited a good minute or so and it won't come on automatically. Hitting the button will turn it on and that's where it defaults to 72 degrees.

Never figured it out. It hasn’t happened in several months now, but I’m sure it will be back. It’s very random when it happens. I had the dealership look at it before my extended warranty ended last July, but they were not able to find anything wrong. I’ve read it could be related to the ac actuators behind the dash, but with it only happening few and far between I’ve just left it alone.
