What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

Not Tundra but spent all day yesterday out with the brush truck on wurtsboro NY mountain with a wild land fire…boys are still at it today and probably next few days with how bad I seen it was

 

D9 showed up along with the NYS Police helicopter and rangers to help us out…a lot of mutual aid came from surrounding counties as well…

 

Yes, with the shocks off it's a good time to install with the axle hanging.

 

Replaced my dash cam with this. OEM look. Took 15 mins to install.

 

I feel for you. I was a Forest Ranger for 17 years. This is a hot time of year to fight fires. Stay hydrated.

While walking the dogs this morning, I found this on the sidewalk. So I installed them and my Coupe battery hold down.

 

Found a never installed RCI engine skid for sale for a good price. Had to drive over an hour each way but worth it, even just for the filter access door! I got to check out the previous owners new 1794 22’ a little bit as well. Luxurious for sure, but not my taste for a truck anyway…

 

I have lovingly looked at it from the house while enjoying not going anyplace on a Sunday

 

Where did you find that? I don't even see one for a Tundra.

Did you get the rear camera as well or just the front?

Installed the undercover swing cases. Very happy with how they turned out and were a breeze to install. Hardest part was getting the anchor bolts out.

 

The damage to your truck reminded me of a photo my brother n law sent.me.

Removed my week old air bag kit due to a defective bag. Leaking from top of bag between the top plate. Never had this issue on my previous truck. Sending back and going with sumosprings. Not dealing with air again. Glad I ordered through Amazon as they sent me the return label right away.

Edit: anyone got the dimensions for the sumospring? I need the height and width so I can 3D print the exact spacer to make contact with the frame.

I did order the 610-47 but doubt they’re almost 11” long. Especially looking at all the install pics. That might be the shipping box dimensions… maybe.

 

If it helps, I just went out and measured mine (black) - 5 3/4" tall with a gap of about 1 1/2" to frame above.

I’ll measure my gap tomorrow with the OME leaf pack and will start printing a spacer.

 

Installed the 1 Touch Auto up/down controls on all four doors. Super easy to do and took about 15 minutes total. No issues at all. What an awesome mod. I got the white light.

Doing the Powerstop Z36 upgrade (caliper, pads and rotor). After doing the recommended break-in, I definitely feel a difference. Outgoing pads were not overly worn despite having 52k on them.

Discovered the need to proactively replace both front hub assy so I only got front end done yesterday. Went ahead and ordered new front dust shields since I'll be taking that apart anyway and they are ready to split apart (101k miles in central NY). Damn the rear dust shields are expensive - looks like part of the parking brake assy? I may not touch those - the rears are not terribly rusted.

Anyone else surprised at how clean their brake fluid was at 100k? Never changed, system integrity never broken before this caliper replacement.

Gonna add the PowerStop SS brake hose kit once I figure out how to break the rusted fittings apart.

 

Looks Great! I have an RCI setup as well. I added the tranny skid and recently attached their cat guard kit as well.

 

Just the front. Didn't want to deal with the wiring.
