Ok, I am not exactly sure what part of the system is causing the issue, but here goes.

I have been using the same phone in my 2021 since brand new without any issues.

Just recently in the last couple of weeks, when I make a call from the truck and hang up, the head unit still shows the call as active and the call timer keeps ticking. I press the end call button but it doesnt do anything. There has been a couple of times where it eventually ended the call, but a couple times I have had to disconnect the phone bluetooth and turn it back on to reset.

    Anyone else had this issue?

I am having the same issue. 2021 Tundra as well. This started happening for me 2 weeks ago. The only way it will go away for me is to turn the bluetooth on my phone off and back on. Hope there is a fix for this soon.

My phone is a Google Pixel 6 (android)...not sure if this is relevant at all.

There was an android update within the last month. Seems to be related to that as mine started a couple weeks ago too.

Glad to know I'm not isolated. Does the HU itself get updated or would you have to take into the dealer?

I have had issues when the phone gets an update at times. Deleting and re-pair solved any issues. I've had to do that twice in the last couple years. Also check for updates on your HU, very easy to get the latest update, could fix some of the little bugs. Issue has not happened since I updated the HU firmware.

Sure thing. this may help https://www.tundras.com/threads/entune-update-vs-audio-software-update.88696/ as will this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9K8r0ANumh8

software update https://www.toyota.com/firmware-updates has the pdf instructions. At the top you can enter truck info or VIN. It will ask about stereo, NAV or not. You need to check your stereo model id. It is written very small on the unit face, check lower right, can vary depending on year. I think you can also find it in the setup menu items. Need a blank USB drive, download and then follow instructions in the PDF. Was quite easy and smooth when I updated mine last month.

Nope. I did the software update from Toyota, paired my phone again and it was fine for like 3 calls then same thing.

It's weird, if the person I'm calling hangs up it will work properly sometimes. If I hang up I need to turn my Bluetooth on and off. Annoying as shit.

    What exactly is yours doing?

Mine is doing the same. I tried my wife's iPhone and it works perfectly. I don't want to switch to iPhone but I don't know what the hell to do know. Toyota has no answers for me.

Bumping the thread and adding that I'm also having this issue with the call not ending on the HU. Shutting off Bluetooth on the phone and turning it back on is the quickest workaround so far.

This is what I am forced to do as well. Have you had any luck with the other person on the call hanging up and it working fine?

I have the same result no matter who hangs up first.

It did it on my S9+ and it's doing it on my S21 Ultra now. So it's not a phone hardware issue. Started after a phone update that took place.

I'm not sure who needs to push an update... Toyota or Android.

My current software version is 1210 on the HU. Toyota online has an update to 1381 for HU model 17TDT1NA-CA31....

So far I'm having no luck with the HU seeing the update file on the thumb drive. Will let ya know when I break this thing. lol

This is the fix. Finally got it see the update file.

There is even a bug note that says it resolves Bluetooth issues.

It's been awhile of me complaining...LOL
But I finally had a half day off so I looked into the problem.

Follow the instructions on the Toyota software download to the letter and it works.

If it still doesn't find your update file, you may have to find a thumbdrive that's 32gb or smaller and format to FAT32. That will work for sure as that's what I used.

I have a flash drive that i used in June to do the update that was available at the time and it installed but it didnt fix my problem. This new update that you are referring to looks like it will but I just wanted to know when you did the update to see if maybe i already did that software revision.

Nope, unless an update to something I already had did it. I know that the last couple android updates was the culprit since it started after that a few others have confirmed that too.
