Is anyone as excited as I am for the new Dobinsons front bumper. They said about 2 months until it drops.

    Looks a lot like ARB.

Yet less bloated. My gripe with the ARB for the Tundra is that it is a bit too large and bloated.
I’d like to see it from straight on before I give the final thought.
But I do like that side angle!

Looks good, I was disappointed when I looked at the arb front bumper for the tundra, like a oversized pig nose. The arb on the land cruiser and fj cruisers looks right but not on the tundra.

The ARB really sticks out there. The look has so much potential except for the bulkiness of it.

I had the same feelings when I first saw the ARB for the gen 2.5 tundras. This one looks more like what I expected to see from them.

Interesting. Looks like the arb dialed down and in gloss black.

I love my arb, and while it does stick out, you can stand/kneel on it, which is a game changer for me working in the engine bay.

Has anyone revealed the mounting system? Does it have the accordion crush brackets like the ARB? For me that was a huge part of getting the aftermarket bumper was retaining airbag and crash safety characteristics.

was wondering the same, states here it is airbag compliant, not sure if its crash tested like ARBs is. Its a little slimmer than arb but not by much. Clevis mounts would have been nice. I love my arb also.

Anyone have one of these installed on their tundra? Really considering this bumper after almost hitting a few deer on the way to the cabin.

If you want less obtrusive then try Buckstop bumpers they're a lot more appealing to look at.
    https://www.buckstopinc.com/toyota.html

Hit a deer doing 60 mph this summer in the 4runner with an ARB...didn't do any damage other than bending the license plate...no damage to grill or lights...didn't even stop.

I have a buckstop on the Tundra but haven't hit anything yet...only a matter of time though...3 in the last 18 months.

Maybe you can tell us - how does it mount? Same arb style accordion brackets?

If so, that’s crazy cause the ARB is 205 lbs.

I'm sure it's the same or close to the same as arb. That user won't even do a 30% bend to take a picture of the bracket for us or even respond to the request for information. Dobinson doesn't list the weight anywhere. I think the user is just guessing. Both applications say you'll want new springs in the fittiment guide.

Haven't had an ARB Tundra bumper in my hand, so wouldn't be able to compare exactly. I've installed a 4runner ARB bumper, and It's still a bit less I would say about 120-130 if I had to take a close guess lets say 180ish with synthetic rope winch but not 200lbs only way i could see it in the 200s if it's with a wire rope

Hey @Globeoverland are the parking sensors compatible? Now I'm stuck between this one and the comparable from CBI offroad.

I don’t run them but it does have the holes* for it. (My truck didn’t come with parking sensors) adjustive cruse controlled worked perfect with out winch but ever since i installed the winch the box seems to interfere with it sometimes activated turned it off

I spoke with someone at Dobinson today, he said the approximate weight of the bumper is 175 lbs.

At this point it's not looking like the accordion brackets are part of the Dobinson bumper, which is the main reason many of us picked the ARB. So no crash testing / mitigation on this model like the ARB is known for.
