In one regard, I do have to agree with the OP. AT tires do come with a lot of compromises. They don't perform as well on streets/highways as a street tire would, and they don't perform as well offroad as a MT would. Instead, you get a tire that handles the offroad a little better than a street tire, and the street a little better than a MT. Thus, in any situation you might find yourself in you wish you had a better tire.

BUT... they look damn good in the mall parking lot, and that's all that matters!

I don't know, he did say he worked at a GMC dealer..... Maybe they did the solid chunk of wood wedged between the frame and axle type of lift on the trucks they sold.

I can’t vote in the poll, since there is no correct answer. “Girraffe nuts” would be the correct choice.

Well I have to agree! Had a 2014 raptor (loved that truck), but needed a ranch truck to tow horses and carry hay etc.that was not so pretty. Bought a 2008 Tundra pre-scratched as a work truck and put 20" Bridgestone Duelers on it-love the ride and quiet. Now the off road tires look great, but noisy!

My new OEM pull off Michelin HT highway shit tires made for a good swing for my grandson to use on my larger pinion pine trees. Couldn't get them off fast enough......

These are by far the most comfortable tires for the highway. End of story.

Maybe not sexy and masculine enough for some, but definitely the next tire I'm putting on my truck after the stock ones wear out. Function FTW.

I dunno. My Wrangler AT's are so good in the snow I don't even have to put tire chains on to get home....and that was something I had been doing for years until I inherited a set. I really don't care how loud they are on the highway, its that last mile uphill in the snow that I really care about.

Then the tire manufacturer should be sued for false advertising. Little known fact: "AT" stands for "Attractive Tire". If the tire is ugly and says "AT" on the side, take 'em to court! :burp:

I'm inclined to agree, OP. This guy does more on the stock Michelins than the vast majority of Tundras.com members with 35s. He even resets the bead out in the sand dunes. Here they are in Moab. Bone stock TRD Pro:
