Well. You’re entitled to your opinion. Now let’s let the masses decide on each one’s beauty (or lack thereof)…E2CDD340-23FF-45BD-8FBD-E920FFB8EC29.jpg 843712BE-1AB9-4D98-8F1F-1CA64559A72F.jpg

    A bunch
This thread encapsulates the typical Tundra buyer almost to a T. No one is jumping on the truck with the higher HP/torque (from factory), higher payload, higher towing, better fuel mileage, smoother ride, and 6.5' bed with full 4 door cab.

Maybe I'm weird that I don't immediately jump on saying the truck I own (or same generation) is the best, but all the numbers point to the new 2022's. It's still not better enough to trade in my nearly paid off truck for a new loan, but it is better in most ways.

I'll consider it once a 3rd gen goes a million miles.

    So stock.
I’m pretty darn happy with my 2017 Platinum. I’m using all the features and buying used kept the price within the budget. I wish it had keyless entry/push start along with Apple CarPlay, but some how I’m surviving. I would’ve loved a 3rd gen, but financially it just didn’t make sense right now.

That being said, I still think 1st gen access cab wins for for the coolest Tundra ever made.

2.5 inch lift, TRD front and rear sway bars, 33 inch Open Country AT3 305/55R20 and dual TRD exhaust.
Because I don't tow with my '21 SR5, I would say my truck is the best for me because it is the perfect balance of old school reliability and the tech you need to work with my phone. It is all I ever wanted in a truck.

If I was towing, I would have to concede that the '18 model year is probably the best.

I stand corrected, I thought the 20's were keyless.

My 2020 has keyless entry and apple carplay. It has everything I ever wanted, including a v8. The only thing i regret is buying it at this stupid prices. But should be done paying it in 2 years.

My 1st Tundra was a 2002, purchased with 65,000 on her and later sold it to my son who now has 115,000 on to and says he will keep diving it until it's over 300,000 miles. Sold my 2014 Raptor and bought a 2008 SR5 TRD and love the truck, so hard to say what's best. But, the 1 Gen is a very nice size truck (perfect size- not to big but does the job) and a great truck to own.
