    I agree. I use those tie downs and I didn't want to tear up the line-x.

    @Knox_Tundy - nice wheels!

    On a side note - what lift do you have? That stance is almost exactly what I'd like for my truck. :)

    Front end is done, rear still needs the +2 coach builder shackles installed and alignment I can’t wait to see it all done. :headbang:

    sorry for the terrible pictures, my co-worker took them.

Couldn’t recommend a better product. Plates will take the whole weight of the vehicle so they are actually functional as a skid plate and with the cat-guards my truck is fully protected.

    Changed my oil at home, first time using the race ramps. First time using my cordless drill with 3/8 socket adapter to take out skid plate fasteners, wow what a lot easier that was. I never thought about using it before. Lol.

    Took the truck for its first snow trip. We didn’t expect so much though since it was 85* last week haha. We made a nice fire and enjoyed lunch and beers.

    I picked up a set at harbor freight. They’re almost too tall for my Tundra, but great for the three Subarus in our house

    Got it done. Front and rears. Ended up removing the front sway bar. It was just too damn close to the bottom of the shocks for my liking. I’m talking millimeters away. Now I just have to find an alignment shop that’s open on Sundays.

    Found and removed some aftermarket wiring harness that was spliced into the factory wiring behind the dash. Bought this truck new...didn't expect this.

    Was it possibly a factory harness for an option that your trim package did not include or a dealership install for a security system or something of the sort? How would it have an aftermarket harness if you bought the truck new?

    If it's not factory installed would it not be aftermarket. Didn't know Toyota used wire taps and in line fuse holders this. This shit is aftermarket, wire taps all over the place. 20221022_225017.jpg
    Found this hidden behind the dash screwed into the plastic. So probably a dealer installed aftermarket security gadget.

    I've seen something similar to this a few times where dealers are including/selling a "security package" w/their vehicle sales; similar to back in the day when they use to do VIN etching and other gimicky add ons… anyhow, they may have installed a quick plug n play set up and either finished the install quickly if you opted for it, or removed it quickly if you didn't want to pay for it (depending on how they handled the marketing of them) :notsure:

    Figured such. I've had the truck since 2017 no issues. Just started doing some electrical projects and began noticing the difference between every harness and plug in the vehicle that I've come across and that harness. Took it out, I want to do my own wire hacking.
