Valhalla’s Shield theft deterrent/skid plates info and ordering post

I have your cat plates, I think the steel for the new order is done and should be getting picked up today. Which will include your front skid plate

Taking a break from welding, I just need to weld the posts in the front skid plates. I also have a custom order with some modifications that I will take pictures of, these are being made to take one hell of a beating!

I have answered all the PM’s here, and I am trying to catch up on emails.

I do not have an exact number, but I had a dealership back out of an order so I will have extra 1/8 steel powder coated black 22 non hybrid plates and 07-21 same 1/8 steel front and rear cat plates in stock. If you are local, I highly encourage pick up, my list of people for pick up is almost nothing now.

And I am done welding on his set for the day. Front skid plate and front cat plate will be going to powder coat, I need to finish up some more posts before I call it a day.

Installed my Valhalla skid plate and front/rear cat plates today. Install was straightforward and they look good under there. Highly recommend them to those who are out there looking. A quality set of products made and sold by Americans, not Chinamazon.

 

I had a 2016 5.7L Tundra before this 2022, and I really like all of the improvements to the platform. The improvement in tech alone made it a worthwhile upgrade for me.

 

Shipping notification came in! Made my day.

 

Alrighty! I shipped and shipped and shipped today, until I ran out of bubble wrap and cardboard. I have more coming tomorrow and I will continue my merry journey of shipping this massive amount of plates, also, the next load of steel is supposed to be ready for pick up tomorrow

How do you get your hand in there to hold the nuts that the center crossmember bolts go through? Looks very tight with no room to swing a wrench let alone hold one on the nuts.

 

I'm at 19 weeks and counting.
I'm moving in three weeks, and I receive no response to my emails.
I'm pissed off.
I ordered specifically because this business is veteran owned.
Never again.

 

Funny story… the 22 tundra I was looking into had it’s cats stolen this weekend

I am thinking about adding an option for the front skid plates to have press in studs for the plastic tabs, they would not come installed as they would likely get damaged in shipping, but you could install them easily with hand tools

 

I used the OEM plastic caps and they fit/worked perfectly.

 

I like mine with the plastic tucked under, but I can see where that's a personal preference thing.

 

Thanks, I have the cat plates installed under my 21 already. I'm trying to install the vahalla shield's skid plate to the cat shield but there isn't a guide for that. I had to delay the skid plate install due to paint issue. apparently i didn't put on a top coat and only the eprimer.

 

hey @endagon, did you get 4 pieces for the skid plate? I was wondering if you can provide me with some better shots of how you got that installed? I probably have another week before I can start my install, waiting for the paint to dry.

Unfortunately your experience is the same as many others. Check with your bank and see how they can help. After many dates Tyler committed to were missed, he then stops responding. My bank/credit union contacted his asking for a proof of shipment or a refund and they chose the latter. I ended up making my own from $200 of supplies from HomeDepot.

 

Check out the write-up in my "build". It is for the full plate kit including the engine skid plate. It is a bit outdated since Tyler has updated some bolt sizes and I don't think the spacers are needed anymore, but the majority is correct with lots of pictures.

My OEM ones broke, I used sheet metal screws to attach it, not the cleanest but worked just fine.

 

Good luck guys. I'm out after being told it will ship next week multiple times. Anyone defending this guy needs to toe the line when it all falls apart. Two weeks ago he "had my plates and just needed to ship them." I can post all of the communication where he lied about processing times if anyone is interested.

 

I have had my front and rear plate...1/4 aluminum unpainted still in the box. I might sell them since I have thought about the chances of cat theft in my driveway at near zero. Pls PM me if interested. Really don't want anyone to cancel an existing order to get these so pls don't do that to a good guy.

 

A good guy? He's been sitting on "my" plates for 2 weeks apparently. I've been straight lied to multiple times, so don't white knight this guy.
