Got it a new sibling. Pops got rid of his 05 and got a used 20 SR5. I moved it and just going around the block it feels way plusher than my TRD offroad suspension.

After 6 months of ownership I paid it off. And then took a picture of how it stands right now, I bought it completely stock.

Not long ago I bit the bullet and order Cat protection. Millercat. Got the shield and rear add ons, arrived a couple days after ordering.

Va police advised on painting cats, color is based on the county you live in. Recyclers are not supposed to be accepting painted cats now, and the color helps police identify what county the theft occurred in.

I painted cats this weekend, my county is red, and I touched up the paint on my DD 10 inch exhaust. Kinda digging the red cats and fresh exhaust paint

Next step is to install the millercat plates which I hopefully will get to this week/weekend. I would probably have them already installed if the install instructions were a bit better. Have not seen a full install vid of this model with the rear add ons so Im sure I will have some lost install time fumbling around seeing how it fit when I get under there. Hard to get installs done after work since it is getting darker sooner now.

Looks just like my 2020 including the OEM trailer mirrors. Us Dads like the Sport and only need a DC as the kids are gone.

Rotundra finally got her nose job!. Installed a C4 Fabrication Overlander bumper with all the associated off road jewelry. Ordered the bumper from C4 on August 10 during the 4th of July sale, it shipped from South Dakota on October 11th. Had the bumper drop shipped to Tampa Bay Powder Coating and it arrived on October 14th. I picked it up from powder coating on October 20th and they did an excellent job of sandblasting and double coating the bumper in primer and satin black. I had previously ordered lighting for the bumper from @memario1214 at Hotshot Offroad and he gave me a great deal on all my lighting choices. I purchased 2 Diode Dynamics Stage Series 3 Pro amber lights in fog pattern and a Stage Series 30" amber light bar in combo pattern. I appreciate the output the Diode Dynamics units provide and have previously installed SS3 Pro white combo pattern ditch lights at the A pillars. I also installed Baja Design LP9 Pro lights in white spot configuration on the bumper under the bull bar. I think these will work great in conjunction with my white ditch lights for off road use and it keeps the white lights up top and the amber light bar and fogs down low for high contrast during restricted visibility conditions. The Badlands Apex 12000 winch fit perfectly in the bumper and did not require moving the control box. I added a Factor 55 Fairlead and a red Factor 55 Pro Link to the winch installation. I also used a Blue Seas System battery disconnect switch for controlling the winch connection to the battery. All of the lighting was easy to complete using my SwitchPro SP9100 power control system. Also of note, the winch and bumper had plenty of clearance with my recently installed train horns that I made a custom bracket for under the grille.

Finished product! I love the look of this bumper system. FWIW, the powder coated red Osborne shackles will not be staying on the bumper, I just wanted to see how they would look.
My wife said they look like nipple rings, go figure.

Finally got the front end aligned. Toyota dealership wanted $150 to do it, and then they couldn't. Place I took it to was walking distance to my house and only cost $120. They got it done in an hour and a half.

But did they actually align it?

Im sure my local Firestone can do an alignment in 15 minutes and even charge less than where I normally go. But I would never go there.

Just ordered yesterday from Realtruck bed cover and bedrug mat and tailgate mat. I did not want a expensive truck cover because I want one to easily remove if I need to. Been thru that with my Tacoma years ago.

QUESTION: how much sound deadening material should I buy for the doors and back of the cab? I’m thinking 80mil Kilmat.

Also, yesterday I took my big ol fat girl out to my lease to zero in a couple rifles @200yd.

Have to compare both with the same tire model/size/pressure. Wife's TRD PRO Sequoia (Fox Pro) is way better than my TRD Offroad (Bilstein 4600) was. Same 32" Michelin LTX2 tires, same pressure, different suspension.

Fixed the rear bumper rust. Rear bumper removal is PIA, much more involved than the front one.

I was thinking about putting so reverse lights in my bumper until I saw the layers of plastic covering the metal pieces. Figured it would be a lot of work getting all those pieces off with out breaking a clip.

That plastic is strictly one way only: very easy to install, very hard to remove. I broke all of the clips that are hidden by the tow bar. The bumper design is under-thought and over-complicated at the same time.

I’ve been looking at some. I really wanted to mount some flush mounted pod lights but after seeing that there was a plastic layer over the metal bumper I figured it would be pretty tough to cut all the layers. I ordered some surface mount KC cyclone v2 lights to put under my hood. I was going to see how they might do for back up lights. I’m trying to stay away from mounting lights below bumper. If you have some good ideas I’d love to see them. I’ve already changed out reverse light bulbs to led and added a license plate mimi led bar.

I think these will look good if they are bright enough.

    a few options

HitchPod Combos – Hotshot Offroad with harness 2014+ Tundra HitchPod S1 Harness – Hotshot Offroad plug and play no splicing

LPR 1800LM LED REVERSE LIGHT SYSTEM 5500K WHITE (vleds.com) with harness Tundra 2014 - 2021 Reverse T Harness | FBC Harness Solutions (square.site) will need to solder end together, but pretty much plug and play - no splicing. Might want to order a 6ft 2 pin extension, only $4 from VLED or use your own spare wiring.

another option if you want to leave your hitch free and flush mount pod where there is no metal and not below the bumper

    upload_2022-11-2_9-38-9.jpg

and most recent with a few options reverse, running light etc.

Hitch Mount Reverse LED Light Kit (diodedynamics.com)

EDIT: However, the DD above is ease to install, but people steal shit and that's an EASY target. I like the BD hitchpod used with a locking hitch pin but not as many functions. I'd rather have security over more function but that's just me.

2021 magnetic grey TRD Pro Crew Max.
TracRac bed rack, Retrax bedcover, Anytime forward facing camera, Rago dash mounting plate, changed all lights to LED with 1200lumen reverse light, added LED above tag reverse light, rear bumper step, Go Rhino step sides, CCM Cat Security Shield, tool mounts on bed rails, added tie down pad eye on bed rails.
I’ve got one similar to the vled mini light bar. I like the hitch lights but I always keep a trailer hitch in my receiver. Diode Dynamic just came out with their version of a receiver hitch light. I’ll probably do the flush mount like those Baja lights. I wish I had known about that plug and play reverse pig tail back when I installed my license plate light. I hate tapping into wires. Plugs are the way to go. Thanks for that link. I’m going to go ahead and get that for later when I finally make up my mind what I’m going to do. Im not in a big hurry. I’ve got a lot of lighting projects in mind. Just thinking of ways I can fill up all the buttons in my switch pro. Going be adding alley, front and back facing lights on my rack too.

Yeah, I edited he post for the DD light. has some pros and cons to it though.

Right? I've never been a fan of splicing factory wiring (I've done it though) but since replaced with pigtails harness for everything, evening interior switches and took out my add a fuses. with these Redside Electric Plug-and-Play Switch Illumination Harnesses | Tacoma World
