What have you done to your 1st gen Tundra today?

No, I don't know. Mine are just stock aftermarket from Rockauto. I had originally intended to use halogen Sylvania SilverStar Ultra (like my other cars), but the LEDs cost LESS THAN HALF as much as the halogens. I'm aware that the reflectors might not be optimized for LEDs...I guess I'll find out when it gets dark. Worst case I can always switch back.

 

Yeah, but which way they're maxed out can tell me if he has them maxed the wrong way.

I didn't see someone parallel park behind me at lunch, I was distracted by a movie being filmed across from where I got lunch. You see here an imprint of their bumper-mounted Illinois license plate on my butt plug from tapping them at low speed, not hard, but enough to jar me and brand the plug cover.

I waited until they came out from grabbing their food, let them know I bumped them (he asked as he walked up; he didn't say shit to me when I walked into the nearby restaurants asking if anyone knew whose car it was). Anyway, he was cool about it, shrugged it off. He already had damage on his car, though. My lucky day, I guess.

(For the record, I totally love this specific plug, I've posted about it before. If I didn't have it, I would've f'ed this guys bumper up, for real)

 

I happened in here for unrelated predilections @Shifty , but my recommendation for your caster is that you leave it alone. As close as you can get to +4, with everything else in range, is the goal IMO. I have a long travel rig, Total Chaos UCA over OEM LBJ’s and, when first installed, we could almost but not quite make +4. Now I cannot because I’ve seriously worn out my poly bushings— but +4 is perfect, drives comfortably, and will keep you from smacking your body mount with your tires, backing up at full lock.

Gonna be draining my diff fluids soon since regearing after the 500 mile break in period. Was wondering what the torque specs are for the rear diff fill and drain plugs. The torque chart I have only shows the front diff torque specs. Anyone know these specs? Thanks!

 

I could never find the drain plug spec anywhere in the FSM so someone else just said to torque the same as the fill plug, 39.

Anyone else notice the fill plug on the rear diff is supposedly 24mm, but it seems more like 23mm? Nobody makes a 23mm socket.

Brake/running light. I’m sure they are like every other led bulb, but I’ll give them a shot based on someone’s experience. I’m only out 11$ if they are garbage.
