What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

I haven’t noticed any vibration.

 

Added my new Gator cover today and bed mat and tailgate mat. I wanted just a easy cover to remove if needed.

 

I'm a deer hunter so I do a lot of driving late and early morning. Moved to the country in March and needed more light on the country roads . Added the 41 inch light bar in the hood. Get YouTube video on how to.

About to order the Method MR 305 NV rim. I can't make up my mind between the 18" / 0 offset or the 20" / +25 offset.

Ideally I'd prefer the 20" rim with the 0 offset. Anyone have similar decisions they've made in the past and which way did you go?

From many pictures I've seen, a +25 and 0 offset don't seem all that different. I'd prefer the more aggressive wider stance but don't wan them stick out more than an inch.

 

Finally got around to putting in some sound deadening on the back wall and floorboard since I needed to put in the JBL Sub replacement from @james@tech12volts

I could definitely tell a difference driving around town, but could tell significantly more on the highway (+50mph). Makes me want to do the rest of the floorboard now..

Sub is 1000 times better, night and day difference. As everyone else on the entire forum who’s installed that bad boy has said, that’s what should’ve come with this truck.

 

Personal preference. What size tire are you going with? Do you have a BMC? I think 18" wheels look so much better than 20" but once again that is personal preference.

I have 18" wheels with +12 offset (37" tires). Have about 1" of poke.

 

I did the doors on my DC. I have been thinking about the back wall and floor. I would just need to figure out how much material I would need.

 

+25 offset for reference. 1/2 to 3/4 inch of poke.

Yea I’ve done the doors as well, didn’t notice a ton with those (I did a bit on highway), but back wall and floor was much more noticeable. If you’re on the fence about it I’d definitely recommend it, it’s worth the extra work IMO.

I ended up using probably 2 rolls of Soundshield from @james@tech12volts out of the 4 I grabbed.

I could tell the difference. If you are doing a whole sound system just my opinion I think you spend the extra money and do the sound deadening. That’s what I did. Upgrading next is my headunit. Decided I wanted the bigger screen and the bonus of making my system sounding even better. My installer will be doing it the end of the month. Kenwood 1057.

 

Did some snow wheeling. Ready for more snow to hit. The Baja Boss MT did not disappoint.

Yes we got hit hard. Straight from summer to winter and nothing in between haha

 

Not sure I would say early. Think it's about normal for us. Actually the hot temps hung around longer than normal this summer. I hope we get a ton of snow on the mtn maybe even some here in Portland. The drive down to Vegas next month should be interesting. I'm sure I'll hit a ton of snow on the way. (Doing the Mojave trail 12/13-12/15)

 

You aint kidding. I was out that way not too long ago and we were hiking in T shirts and pants. Friend of mine went out like 2 weeks later and exact trails we were on, was completely covered in snow!

 

I'll be going with a 33" or 34" tire, regardless of rim size.
I do not have a BMC.
I do have a 3/2" lift.
I actually prefer a 20" wheel but if the poke is better, I'd go with an 18".

I'm leaning towards the +25 offset. Seems it's about 3/4", maybe 1/2" of poke.

 

what brand and mounting brackets did you go with?

 

heres 0 offset on 17” rim with 35’s

 

My son sent me pics driving in the snow over the mountains in WA in his 4Runner yesterday. We had 85F in SC.

 

What size wires did you run from the engine compartment?? I am going to be doing the same mod soon.
