    Cruise is golden. Horn too.

gotta be some SRS check where it got cranky about the part swap. Hope I can fix in TS somehow.

Are you thinking of vvtl-i? That's the one that kicks in like vtec.

That L is for lift. It changes the cam profile. Vvt-i just does valve timing.

Vvti is “kicked in” the second you start the engine. It’s not vtec.

I always thought it “kicked in” in open loop, so usually Wot or higher rpms

My non-vvti V8, and moms vvti V8 both butter my biscuits because they're V8s. I just like mine better. Less goofy stuff, but thats just my personal opinion.

They both suck gas like a funnel, they both put a smile on my face, they both do what they need to do, and they're both fun.

I only get a few opportunities to “kick it in” sometimes I take them, ok most of the times i do.
When the vvti kicks in with the 4runner it feels like a go kart due to less weight!

Vvtl-I is “kicked in” by rpm, 6000 to be exact.

Positive cuz our trucks have vvti, not vvtl-I. The latter is the closest to vtec. Vvti operates through out the rpm range.

Does it advance or “variate” more at higher rpm?

I do see what caspy is saying,
I’m wondering if it fluctuates more of changed the cams more at higher rpm and less at lower, but always changing based on the load

You don’t really feel vvti actuate unless you tune it. But you can feel the switch from long runner to short runner with the ACIS if the engines running 100%

Mines still no where near perfect, but the tune removing fuel from the maps really helped bring the kick it use to have.

I've been thinking about a scan guage for Krakatoa. Seen one in the classifieds somewheres for cheap, but don't know enough about it, and have many other things in the docket before one of them niceties can happen
