Hi Everyone, I had an error code P0722 Output Speed Sensor Circuit. Truck was running fine with that code but the other day I had complete loss of power. I would floor the gas pedal but the truck barely moves forward. And now all of a sudden the truck is running like normal. I'm assuming it's the Output Speed Sensor Circuit and bought one already at the stealership but can't seem to find the location of it. I saw on another thread that it was on the transmission towards the front but I don't see anything. Any help is greatly appreciated and thank you in advance!

I would start by watching this and maybe looking around youtube for similar videos/info.

The transmission has a front and rear speed sensor. P0722 seems to be related to the rear one Sensor SP2.

I’ve already seen that video. For some odd reason, I don’t see it anywhere or seen anything with a 10mm bolt attached to it on the transmission. Maybe it wasn’t the transmission I was looking at. It was so cold so I didn’t really stay outside long to look for it. Do you know if it’s on the driver or passenger side towards the back?

Passenger side of the transmission. The one you are looking for is toward the back/middle ish. Look at the diagrams above closely they will help you understand what's going on.

I found it! It was kind of hidden but very easy to remove and install. Gotta pull really hard to get the o-ring seal to release. Thank you so much Jeff_5_7 for helping me out.

    Did it fix your issue?

Actually I don’t even know if it fixed my loss of power because all of a sudden my truck was running like normal again but I just went ahead and replaced that output speed sensor to hopefully fix the loss of power issue. So we will see in the future if my truck will lose power or not.

I know this is an old post but I had the same problem (Code P0722). I replaced the expensive sensor and everything is better now. Shifting like it should.
