Im a bit concerned to be honest . Truck runs well but Im noticing a-lot of negative reviews and comments that i am not use to hearing about a Toyota .

Given the choice , would you still buy your 2022-3, 6 cylinder turbo Tundra , hybrid ?

Getting on a vehicle forum and seeing a lot of problems is kind of like going to a hospital and seeing a lot of sick people. - Paraphrased from @vutron on Tacomaworld

Enthusiast sites will always attract people who have problems because they are seeking solutions, so don't be too discouraged by the reports if you yourself aren't having troubles. People are more likely to pop up and be vocal if there is an issue than if everything is running along smoothly, and that holds true for any product. There will be some growing pains for the new model, but Toyota is working out the kinks. Enjoy your truck!

Am I 100% happy with the truck? No I'm not. But I have it now and will use it for the next 10 years because I hate wasting money on selling and buying cars. I'm also very invested into Tundra as my $6k camper shell arrives soon.

The main pain points for me are uneven throttle response, seat comfort - hard seat, mirror wind noise, stock shocks suck.

There are a lot of new cool things about this truck as well!

Now, these are minor issues for me, Toyota or I will get most of it fixed eventually, and if I don't get any major issues such as engine or transmission then I'd say I'm happy. The main point of this Toyota truck is that it should last a long time without major issues!

I'd buy again and I'm sure late 2023 2024 models will be better

For me, truck is completely useless without a camper shell... My work briefcase barely fits under the back seat, and I need to hide everything from our unhoused neighbors around downtown where I work. My camper has no windows too... Lol

I just got came back from a ram from (my previous hometown) where half dozen people discussing their camshafts and lifter failures at 90k and 100k miles ... $6k lifters swap repair or $12k engine replacement.

I feel much better about my Tundra now.

One regret….I recently sold ‘22 SR5 and purchased ‘23 TRD Pro.

My regret is that I couldn’t keep both.

The ‘23 Pro addresses all the very minor complaints I had about my ‘22, but I really had no reason to get rid of the ‘22, other than upgrade.

I was lucky just to get one at all .
Its the Platinum version so non TRD, which is fine given the nature of use this truck will be used for but still like the TRD logos and embellishments.

    All good .

I have complete faith in this tried in true v6 hybrid twin turbo. Interior is beautiful . Nothing is 100% in anything you buy .

My recent trucks have been 2018 Silverado, 2010 Avalanche, 2013 f150, 2007 Avalanche, 2008 Tacoma. They have all had their positives and negatives.
For the 2022 Tundra, Very happy after 6 months and 6000 miles. Love the engine/tranny combo! I like the seats, like the softex, interior is an upgrade from my old Silverado. The technology with the TRD OR is great. Have utilized the crawl control and drive modes and WOW. Did I say I love the engine? Step on it, listen to the turbos, sit back and smile!
My only complaints are slight wind noise and the rear end feels lighter than what I was used to. I’d buy again for sure. Know I will appreciate the Toyota resale value too.

It’s a fantastic power train. I don’t have the hybrid but I can imagine how good that it would be. The things I wish were better are really minor, like no bed step, no usb in the back seat (SR5), the dealer is fixing the cracked seat panel and some windows trim. These are all cosmetic.

I bought this truck to tow our camper better than my old Canyon, to have room to take my aging in-laws and parents around comfortably, and of course to have a truck for truck things. It does these things quite well.

Going back to cosmetics, I have gotten more compliments on this vehicle than any other one I have had. People saying things like “that’s the most beautiful truck I have ever seen”. It is a real looker.

I don’t like some of the technology in the truck, but I have managed to shut off most of those features.

There is some value as well when price and feature comparing with other makes, the Tundra stands out from a cost perspective.

I would not hesitate to get another one. The only other half ton (or heavy duty for that matter, which I do not have a use for) I would get would be a GM with a 6.2 or 3.0 Diesel.

17k miles and loving it. A few small little outer trim issues but the dealership was super cool about it all. I of course had/have some mild trepidation about buying the first model year but I think Toyota has done a great job!

Absolutely. I definitely like how this pulls my 16' cargo trailer vs my 19MY. It feels so much easier on the truck itself having power down low. There are a few quirks. Mainly the dead spot in the throttle when taking back off from a not "complete" stop. The wife loves the heated seats.
