I used DipYourCar Hyperdip to get rid of all the chrome on the doors. It came out better than I had expected in 40* weather.

Damn! That’s about a million dollars worth of pack out boxes. Lol. I finally broke down and bought myself some. I tried my best to get a better deal on them during Black Friday/cyber Monday but never did really find a good deal on them. They definitely are not cheap but they seam to be well made. Since I’m a member of the red cult I had to get some. I’m thinking about getting some of the metal molle type panels for the bed of my truck to mount some there. I also got to find a good deal on dividers off Etsy or eBay. I mainly want to build myself a better organized first aid kit, than what I got now, for the truck and shop out of them. Nice set up.

hahaha thanks. They're worth every penny I've spent on them for versatile organization. I've got deals on a lot of them, though it's harder to find now. That'll be a nice setup to do.

Haha, yea that drivers side is a massive pain. I have the RCI sliders and wasn’t even able to get that last bolt on back there. How did you end up getting it? Move the tank at all? My buddy suggested using a crows foot to get in there, but I haven’t tried yet.

I'm pretty sure all sliders are a pain on that driver's side. Passenger tricks ya thinking it's easy and can be done by self. Then you get over to the driver side. I'd always recommend to start on Passenger before the driver. Another recommendation do it with very little gas in the tank and with a friend if possible. It definitely is easier without the weight of fuel moving the tank over once you get slack in the strap, it also is definitely easier if you have a friend that can crawl under with ya, one poke and pry, the other with the nut and bolts. Not saying it can't be done alone but it definitely makes it a ton easier if someone can get you the space needed under there while the other turns the wrench. Good luck guys.

Where did you pick up the spotter mirrors? Are they stick on or do they replace the actual mirror?

I installed a hot air intake on my truck. Love the sound I get. Just drove a couple hundred miles and made sure everything was still tightened up good.

Currently at HD if you spend $300 on a set they take off $90, so only buy just over $300, then do it all over again, if you buy like $600 they only take off $90 still, so trick is to buy a few at a time. If you have the HD CC they send offers all the time for 0% interest for 18 to 24 months for purchases of $300 or greater etc.

    Couple easy jobs
    1. Had put bed rails on. Today added six tie downs. My thinking is to semi-secure the big cleats that came with rails by placing them between tiedowns each end. At least the tiedowns need a tool to remove, maybe keep the cleats from walking away in a parking lot. To be honest, I wouldn't miss the cleats, big and clunky, might just replace with 4 more tiedowns

    2. Saw idea in a thread on here, little light above mirror folding switch. The one I found has two lights, I planned to put second in console. Planned to cut lights from plug and wire them under dash. But when received, discovered that plug also has a light (with switch). So decided to use that light in console socket, put second small light in glovebox. Made project easy - ran wires over lip, down through shift area, up into dash, out to each side. A nice 8 buck improvement.

Yeah I saw that deal. I just couldn’t justify buying that many boxes. I did end up buying the 3/8 12 volt ratchet because they forgot to change the price tag on one of those buy a tool get free battery deals. So basically they mark up the price on a tool and say it’s on sale with a free battery. They just forgot to change the price on the ones on another shelf. The Milwaukee rep happen to be assisting me at Home Depot. He was showing me this special sale when I asked him why was the same tool cheaper on the other rack. Lol. He had to walk up to the register an get them
to charge me a lower price and I still got the free battery. It pays to look around sometimes. If I worked in any kind of trade type job I’d definitely buy all in on that pack out system. I have a lot of tools but it’s all for personal use around my shop.

I'm kinda going all in on them right now for the reason of I need portable boxes for when I go to the rifle club with all my stuff, scopes, tools, mags, ammo etc etc etc.... but also with all the electrical stuff I play with between cars and jet ski and home I need some smaller containers to organize everything but I saw they come with a roller so i'm thinking rolling tall organizer at home and take the parts I need when I go do stuff, we all find what works for us, and my garage is a full on workshop at this point so being able to roll everything around is a HUGE must, i'm kinda ridiculous when it comes to DIY at this point, newest thing i'm learning is Cerakote at home .... i'm hopeless but I accept it
